Let the states deal with drugs. Personaly I don't care about meth, and other really dangerous drugs, leave that to the states to regulate. But weed should be grown everywhere, I love me some weed! I mean good God we don't even know what all its good for. My dad has started using it to rub into his knees desolved in alcohol. I heard that you can make pressboard out of it for about the same cost as lumber wouldn't that be great no more deforestation! Weed to heal the world!

i agree, legalization cuts off the black market. look at the alcohol prohibition, we had people like al capone who became successful from the underground market. nowadays you wouldn't think of dealing or robbing someone for booze. weed is the same thing except the drug cartels in mexico are bigger than ever. america needs to legalize weed, tax it, and make it a normal substance like alcohol and to the point where it's actually boring to do and not a vice.

Forget Marijuana...legalize ALL DRUGS.

1. Police priorities will go to violent crimes and fraud

2. Massive savings on waster resources

3. Put all gangs out of business

4. Allow inner city youth to not fall into the trap

5. Tax it for revenue

6. Billions saves on Federal spending prosecuting and housing inmates

7. Crime drops overnight globally

8. When is the last time you heard of someone robbing and killing to buy a pint of liquor? Legalize drugs..make em cheap. Legalize freedom.

@JohnnyMac2237 That guy in New York robbed a pharmacy for LEGAL drugs and killed 4 people execution style. Maybe keeping some of the drugs illegal(such as meth, heroin, and crack) would be in the best interest of our nation for the simple fact that if those drugs were made more available, there would be more violent crimes against the places that sold them to feed the addiction. Maybe replace Oxycontin and Vicodin with weed and hash, and maybe that robbery wouldn't have happened.

You have a fair point but that is an anomaly. Far more people are killed daily dealing and buying aforementioned drugs. Only because this occurred in a sensationalistic manner did a grab attention. Crime will always be occuring I believe legalization of all will lower crime. The reason I disagree with you is that if you remove the black market pricing from the equation of Heroine, Crack then you lower the criminality present that resort to desperation to attain.

Yet you do make a fine point on the easier access to other drugs would alleviate the need to seek out prescription drugs such as Oxy & Vicodin..All great points for a debate yet I think we both agree that lowering price lowers access and lowers crime.
