So many metal spinning videos, and nobody explains anything. What do you put on the metal, how is it held on the lathe, what lathe speed, what tools to use/make.... Wish I could have a go on my lathe but I'm lost.

@BernhardHofmann try searching google books for metal spinning, there's lots of out of copyright books on it.

@BernhardHofmann Hey man im in the same boat as you. But going by all the vids and using some of my experiences that i have already on a lathe, Ive built my own surface grinder and tool holders, jet engine parts etc. Im building a video on how to build a metal spinning tool for a lathe and what speed im using and the type of lube im using for the process. If ur still interested u could glance at my vids from time to time i will have it up soon. I don't even know what that tool is called
