@LucOggel Heyy!! sounds great!!!! id like a tab please!!!!! heres my email....itsvoogle@aol.com...if you got any other cool tabs,,send em too!!! ...keep up the good work...:D
@skylr15727 I have a tab of this and I've sent it to hundreds of people over the past five years, so if you'd like to have it send me a message with your e-mail adress
@rizzometal92 Is it? I pulled this one out of a Washburn N2 I used to have, I liked the sound of this pickup so I wanted to keep it. They're out of production I believe.
@LucOggel if i remember well, Dime used the XL version. however that's still that pickup! and Bettencourt used it too, right in his Wasburns! They're still in production!
@LucOggel Hi! I have a question....I can do this lick quite fluently and fast with the hairband...but without the hairband all the strings start to ring...what can I do to play tap-arpeggios without hairband? I saw a lot of guys doing it like that...please help me
@jack0eagle Hi Jack, why would you do it without a hairband if it sounds better using one? I guess it just takes a lot of practice if you don't wanna use it. But it's almost imossible to play this without hearing any noise from other strings, that's why I used it. Not to 'cheat', as some say. Could you do a video of you doing this lick? I'd like to see it! I've mailed hundreds of tabs around the world the past few years, I'd like to see someone do a cover!
@LucOggel oh thanks man! but my videos are not that great...my way of playing changed a lot from that videos...however I'll do a video of this lick soon!
@xD0NKEYx The reason the guitar sounds the way it does is because the players hands are on the stings thus creating string noise. This is why guitar synths sound so retarded, because they lack the string noise. So yes, asshole, you are supposed to have string noise.
My question was a rhetorical jab at your stupid comment, don't know why you didn't notice that.
It's not a guitar synth, this is electric guitar-- unless you're refering to the fact that the distortion is synthesized, in that case you need to shut the fuck up and go back to acoustic because electric guitar is about dampening all the string noise.
I still think you're trolling me with such a retarded post, or maybe you just don't play electric guitar.
@xD0NKEYx You dampen with your fingers. If you have to use a hairband you lack the proper control. Thus you aren't a virtoso or very technically impressive.
Don't put out that bullshit, it doesn't matter if he uses a hair braid or not. You listen to music because it's music. He obviously possesses the skill to note the properly, who cares if he uses stuff for additional muting? Friedman does it all the time, would you with your logical call him a non-virtuoso?
That's just absurd.
Sure I guess he could spend years and try and become Chris Broderick 2.0, but once again that's just being ridiculous for the sake of being ridiculous.
@xD0NKEYx Good music is good music sure, but call a spade a spade, and if you use a hairband you're using a crutch plain and simple. If the music is good ultimately it doesn't matter, but the use of a device to make playing easier deffinately takes you out of virtuoso status.
And who actually cares if one is a virtuoso? No one except wanna-be-elitists who have some messed up psychological urge to feel special by promoting negativity.
@xD0NKEYx It just seems hypocritical to work out all this "complicated" stuff, and then use a crutch to play it. If it didn't matter if something was virtuosic why spend so much time trying to play impossible tapping licks?
If we lived like 300 years, I would agree with you ;)
Unfortunately we don't, maybe getting 80 w/ luck, and it'd be a huge waste of time to invest it all in making sure one single technique was flawless (assuming it even is, considering the guitar is so sensitive with distortion it's almost impossible IMO)
Even Chris Broderick who is one of the best in the field still has string noise, and he plays: Quote: "14 hours a day"
... Live though, that's a different matter and I'd agree
sure the speed is awesome but it sounds so great at slower speed i really like the change into diminshed sounded tight and quite thought out props to you luc-o ;)
It's a very cheap RG 320 FM actually, I customized it a bit by changing the knobs and the pick-ups. It's now loaded with a Bill Lawrence L500 in the bridge and a 'zebra' DiMarzio PAF Pro in the neck.
Thanks for all the nice words people! If you need a tab for this please send me an e-mail (my adress is in one of my replies) instead of putting your adress in the comment, it's easier for me to reply that way! Thanks!
is that an rg320 fm and did u put a dimebucker it there?? write me back please cuz i have the same guitar.. and a dime-o-flame so i wanted to know how u like the dimebucker
Yes it's an 320, I have an Bill Lawrence L500 in the bridge (I know Dime used BL's too) and an DiMarzio Paf Pro 'zebra' in the neck. I love the combination.
Thanks man! This is not a song, just a progression I came up with while practising this technique. U can use this technique in a song of course. I've got a tab of this if you like, sent me an e-mail: lucog at hotmail dot com
My videos seem to be out of sync when I record them to start with, so i just move the video's audio along while editing it so it appears to be in perfect sync. Maybe its the filetype you're saving it as?

LucOggel 3 years ago
what does that black things on the frets DO??
liquidmetal2006 3 years ago
It's a capo, it clamps onto your strings and temporarily barres them.
sefeed65 3 years ago
is necesary for the tapping you are doing
liquidmetal2006 3 years ago
It holds the strings on a certain fret, so when the strings are played open, it plays the fret that it's being held on.
Jimbeaux17 3 years ago
No its not a capo, its a hairband actually. Just to keep the strings from ringing.
