its a nice truck...you defiantly spent some money on her...I just found my dad's old RC10T2 from back when he used to race...but by now the equipment is all old...He bought it from teamassociated a week after they came out, and then quick racing 2 months after that...so now I've got my hands on it and I'm gonna turn it back into the mean racing machine it used to be...Thumps up video.
@sinbadinall This truck its a great truck and its very durable , it share most of its parts with the RC10GT so its no so hard to get parts for it , even if the T2 was discontinued over a decade ago you can still get parts for it on ebay . If you want to get some cheap speed out of this truck try to get a castle creation sidewinder 4600kv and turnigy 7.4v 2s 4000mah lipo batteries , this truck will run with that setup like a speedy touring car .
@SpeedOfDark186KmpsGo to my channel and check the yellow truck on the video title ( GALLIMODS STADIUM TRUCK A-MAIN 6 27 2010 } it got some race-rash already .
@Sketch976 Hi . the rc10t2 its the closest thing to the rc10gt , the 2 trucks share many parts , the gears inside the gearbox of the GT are exactly the same as the T2 , your truck already comes with the metal top shaft so all you have to do is get to ebay and type on the search ( RRP RC10GT ) and you should find the steel idler gear and the alloy diff gear from ROBBINSON RACING for the rc10gt that also fit on the rc10t2 . i got a new video of my T2 , go check it out on my channel ...
@STREWNGC Hi , i don't know exactly what year is my truck but i know that the RC10T2 went in to production in 1995 , my T2 was purchase in 2007 and you can see on the video the before and after changes on my truck .
Hi . the least expensive way to get some speed on your t2 its by getting a 8.4v 7 cell flat battery pack . the second thing that you can do its getting a brushless system , the brushless system that will give you the must bang for the buck its the castle creations sidewinder 5700kv , thats the one that i using on my truck . go and check my video again so you can see the speed gain depending on the different types of battery packs that i use on my t2 .
Nice T2 man! Have you ever raced it, or just bashed it? I have a T2 roller that needs a purpose in life.....and the whole brushless thing might be that purpose.
Hi . i used to race this truck but the last year i decided to retire this truck from racing . at this moment i just do bashing with this truck . thats why i upgrade the sidewinder speed control to the mamba max , that will allowed me to use a lipo 11.1v that will make this truck do 60+ mph .
are u running a brushless motor? i just got an sc10 it came with a reedy motor i was mad cause it wasnt brushless then i had to spend 160$ on a trx veleneon brushless motor with esc then for some reason me and my friend had interference i had a Futaba 3 pm so i installed that which was 200$ thats about prob 600$ on an electric + more cuz i need more tires soon ur rct2 looks nice tho
trx veleneon $160.00 . Futaba 3 pm $200.00 . lots of fun with a faster sc10 , priceless ... i am not a millioner but when it comes to my hobby i spare no expenses and the satisfaction that you get when you rc truck its kicking ass thats really PRICELESS !!!
to answer you the question about the the motor , this truck went thru 3 different brushless systems . i had a novak xbr 8.5 but i felt that it wasn't fast enough so i replaced with a castle creation sidewinder 5700 and i really notice the great difference in performance from the novak system .. now i got the castle creations mamba maxx 5700 that its basically the same motor like the previous version but with a better speed control that can handle all the way up to a 3 cell 11.1v lipo .
i used to have a futaba 3pks synthesize 75mhz with the novak xtra receiver . the novak xtra receiver its design to work with any 75mhz fm radio system . i got now a futaba 4pk 2.4ghz radio that i use with all my rc vehicles .
you won't be able to get the shocks for the t2 but you can upgrade with the shocks from the t4 , they are similar to the t2 but they are threaded and they are a direct fit . the front shock part # 9633 and the rear shocks part # 9634
those proline tires might last between 7 months to a year depends on the power of your motor/engine and how often and aggressive u drive your truck . i drive my truck every two weekends w this tires with the sidewinder 5700 with either 7.2 or 8.4 .
i know that proline used to make all terrain tires for the buggy rims bun i don't know if they still on production . for bashing i believe that u can use truck rims and truck all terrain tires but u have to use a smaller pinion gear so u won't overheat your motor .
how long did you run it with the $500 setup before you added an xtra $300? btw you should send the guy you bought it from pics of what it looks like now lol. the difference between $50 and $850 :)
i ran this truck with the $500.00 setup during the winter of 07/08 but i fell that the novak setup wasn't powerful enough & also i had the need to to buy all terrain tires so i decide to buy a castle creations sidewinder 5700kv setup and set of all terrain and a set of racing tires . i got this truck from ebay , i took to long to get the truck to the point that it is now when i went back to ebay to see if i can contact the seller the info was already gone from ebay database .
i have been using 7.2 volt battery in my car, i saw that you used and 8.4, could you do that with any set up?, i mean i would like to get that extra speed on my car
check first if you speed control its design to handle 8.4 volts . also make sure that you vehicle its design to accommodate 7 cell packs . my truck battery holder its design to carry 6 or 7 ( 7.2v or 8.4v ) cells pack . my speed control can handle 7.2 thru 9.6 volts .
the body its a #3163-00 rc10t4 proline crowd pleaser body , you need the #80542 rpm rc10gt body mounts ( mount the body post on outer holes ) & you need to extend the wheel base of the truck by moving the front kick plate to the next set of holes on the chassis ( see the slide show on the video and paused on the part that shows the servo and the steering bellcrank for more details ) . this small mods will allowed you to use all the rc10t4 bodys on your rc10t2 ...
