my daughter age 14 makes movies using a Flip camera and her Mac. For Christmas I want to get her a green screen but am not sure what to get. I saw a program that had space ship back grounds, etc. The company said none of them are Mac compatible. Do you know of a fun one that doesn't cost a fortune that is Mac compatible? Thanks!
Well an actual green screen (the paper or cardboard itself) will be compatible with any computer. You just need a program on your Mac that will be able to use it. You can get some use out of it with the Photobooth program that comes with the computer-as I did in this video-or spend more money and get Final Cut Express or Pro which is a profession level movie editing software which will allow MANY more uses of your green screen.
You have to go to a website and download Photobooth plugins, and then it will expand your photobooth capabilities with many more effects, including that one.
Yes, a blue wall will work as a background. Just focus on making sure that there are no shadows behind you messing up the background the computer recognizes. Lighting is key, the background could be anything really.
Ha ur welcome! To get videos to the backdrop have something u want to use on ur desktop. Then open photobooth and click on the 4th square, also known as the effects tab. Where it says "user backdrop" just click on the video thats on the desktop and drag it into any of the open user squares, and there you go.
The part where I move with that guys lips is a separate photobooth effects expansion pack you'll have to download. You can find effects by searching photobooth plugins

I've played around a bit and haven't seen it possible to use with a GIF so I would say no.

can it be done with windows?
Metal19921701 6 months ago
@Metal19921701 Nope! Because you won't have the photobooth program. One great reason to buy a Mac :).
