Thanks a lot for uploading this one - haven't seen it in years and couldn't find it anywhere. Remember when videos like this were shown on "VIVA Trance" or "MTV Chillout Zone"? Sigh. Anyways, a great video for a great track from a great album that takes a great effort to appreciate when you've never listened to Panasonic's work before :-)

Sounds a lot like what happened to their countrymen in Opel Bastards (subsequently Op:l Bastards). What we have here is a damning example of sloppy naming policy in the Finnish electro scene. I mean hell... the only thing keeping Imatran Voima safe is that the power company whose name they took are re-branded by now :)

@cubist404 As Toshiba, the Panasonic Electronics' biggest competitor in Japan had plans to licence the group's music from Blast First, the change of name seemed to become more probable all the time. After having been contacted by the lawyers of Panasonic USA, who threatened the act and their record label with legal actions, from spring 1998 onwards the duo is officially to be called Pan Sonic.

Eventually in 2005 they became Panasonic again in the re-release of their 1994's first EP.
