when i flew back, there was a medical emergency on the plane as we had to divert to adelade. it took an hour to dump the fuel and land. the paramedics took the guy off (i believed he died) and the aussies cheered when they took him off like he was a drunk on a charter to fiji. the older australians i found we great, just the under 40s were a total joke. there is nothing more ignorant that a bunch of drunks in knee length australian shorts shouting aussie aussie aussie on australia day. ughh.
