actually, just close the car panels under deluxe barricade head, and the arms a little bit more to the back and your done, it has now better proportions, and articulation, and estability, and its just better

prices vary from time to time

SM usually has toy clearances toward the end of the year, November i think. and on a regular basis, some toys and figures go on clearance all year round depending on their sales movement

well, i guess it has to do with economics. the deluxe class figures are more manageable in terms of manufacturing and more salable in terms of price points, size, shipping and handling, etc. each figure scale will have its own pros and cons and cater to specific target markets and audiences. the trick is really determining which figures are best made into which scale.

I'll be it I don't have the original deluxe figure but even without it or the other human alliance figures I am still astonished(despite the weird joints he has in his upper legs).

Awesome figure, I strongly recommend to do the fixing to the legs by cutting/shaving the tabs that limit rotation up to the hips, in order to have it rotating the legs properly.

amazing figure, just picked up the frst one in my city. The arm cannon isnt for frenzy truly. In the game( horrible) he does have rockets on his top shoulder. Still, truly awesome figure, and My favorite from the movie!

i shaved/removed by nail clipper the tabs on his hip so that he can stand better and move his leg front and back...instead of sideways...

I just bought mine today at Walmart here in USA. FYI mine had a pivoted waist, but there was a square peg molded into it that prevents it from being able to twist at the waist. I had to round off the square part in order to give it true waist articulation.  Did you mod yours as well? Or did it already come with "stock" waist articulation without modification?

@fxfranz Interesting.... Mine wasn't a "problem" persay, as it was actually molded to prevent waist from moving. That must mean there are at least 2 different versions of this toy: 1) with a round pivot, and 2)a second type with a round pivot plus square peg that keeps it from moving at all. I noticed your review was the only one that shows a pivoting waist. Even seanlong's review mentions how there is no waist articulation in his, just like mine. I wonder what other variants there are now

but if the figure has a lot of dynamics to it and i just have too much to say about it or the transformation is a bit complex, then a 2 or 3 part is necessary.

I got this guy a few weeks ago. I really like it, but, IMO, it's still a toss up between this guy and Human Alliance Bumblebee. Skids comes next, and Sideswipe is a VERY distant fourth.
