  • So much more pure than Corelli's version. Corelli sounds harsh in comparison. Both, however, are two of the best five tenors in history.

  • JB did not sing the role on stage but did the aria in a 1951 concert and in the Met 1956 Gala concert. He also Recorded it again long after this one.

  • fantastiskt

  • I think this is the best version, and Carlo Bergonzi's is second.

  • Pavarotti is the best in this aria in my opinion, this is quite nice version though

  • @Nockturnmortem you are so right

  • My favorites tenors are Jussi Bjorling and Corelli. ¿Can you find betters than they?

  • @1952a I think that Richard Tucker also sang this one well. Of course Caruso, Gigli, etc but for the modern era I like RT. Jussi B, of course, was super.

  • @1952a Yes indeed Mario Del Monaco, Guiseppe Di Stefano ,

  • speechless...meravigliosa interpretazione...

  • semplicemente incantevole

  • Doesn't get better than this. The greatest!

  • We can't compare Corelli and Björling because the recordings and very very different ! THey both have qualities in their voice that the other doesn't have.

  • Without doubt...the greatest tenor who ever lived!

  • Molto bravo! Un Maestro di canto. Molto attento alle posizioni, veramente strepitoso.

    Complimenti e grazie.

  • sorry he never sang the role he could have but did not. This is his earlier recording of it made before the one in the 50's and I like it better it shows the voice in it's clear prime.

  • Absolutely perfect. He was made for this role.

  • Contrast the end of the first verse to the second. Learn
