the american gene hunt was more philosophical the next stage up from the wise old man the wise old man who knew no one was listening. which is what every cop in an american show models themselves on. the british gene hunt is more raw and passionate and he does let things get to him because he is human

Actor does a great job of playing this Alpha male, a type very attractive to women even today. Of course the language is exaggerated for effect. Great series; love Glenister.
