Prince is a master musician that plays 22 different instruments. Most of his albums are ALL HIM, both musically and vocally. All instruments and vocals. Very rarely were the live band even on his recordings. He is hands down one of the best guitarists alive. Amazing man. Thats all there is to it.

prince is a crafty technician, and pretty awesome when it comes to instrumentals. Musicianship, he got really good there for a while in the late 80s, but as funky as he is, he's far more unoriginal than he is original. His musical tracks never had atmosphere like MJ's. P applied piles of tracks to give it depth that it never found. This said, he does have great music. But he should - he derived from dozens before him. Damn, to think of this, he should've done better if accepted to begin with...

I wish Mayte and Prince would of found a way to make their relationship last. I have a feeling if they would of fought harder to overcome whatever difficulties they were having, they would of made it. Prince probably has a difficult time compromising on a lot of things, and Mayte was fairly younger than him. If they may of thought about that more in the beginning and figured out a plan to work through those issues beforehand, they prob would of made it. Hindsight being 20/20, right?

i was at this show. it was behind kings cross and was after the final wembley show of his career. i remember him coming on real late, 2 or 3 am. although i enjoyed it for me there were far too many guests performing with prince just accompanying on guitar. it lacked the spontaneity of his earlier aftershows, his 88 aftershows were amazing!!
