Liability. Roll when some one lives there. Spray when they don't. We always spray trim no matter what. We only spray walls if there is no carpet and no one lives in the structure.
We always install the weather strips and close the door at the end of the same day and have never once had a problem. Over spray dust also never goes in the garage as the gap is to small and you also have a 90% angle it has to make it around. I have literally done several thousand doors in this same manner.
How long do you wait before the door can be closed again? Also, did paint dust get inside the garage since the door was cracked? Thanks for the great vids!
As you can see you can spray a door with a larger tip as I do regularly but I am spraying 3 to 5 houses a week and have lots of experience making a door look good with a tip as large as a 621.
Can you paint an exterior door with a 621 tip? One viewer noticed I was using a larger tip in my video then what was on the tools you will need. My response: Your are very correct in the tip I used. It is nice to see that you watch very closely. I usually keep a 310 tip in my pocket and when I get to the doors I switch out the tip I am using for siding to use one that will give a smoother finish on the door. I got wrapped in the video and forgot the switch it out.

how do you decide when to use a spray gun and when to use a roller/paint brush?

I would buy a Titan 440. I started my business with one and used it for 3 years. Have 6 of them now. Amazing pumps.
