Not sure what you are tryin to say with this movie....errm i read your comment and you say that the underlying theme is that racism is a cancer. I didnt get any hint of either of those things from the movie...just a guy with a painted face walking down the street.....wouldve been better to dress up as one of the 4 tops and go in to a black neighbourhood and do a lil song and dance....see what reaction you get....
Does anyone study psychology? HELLO! What I see is severe post tramatic stress syndrome. SO damn deep rooted it's passing through the genes. Generation after generation of lost people. Detached from their "true" history and accomplishments. Edison didn't make the light bulb work. And Africans in America aren't the only ones suffering and in mental slavery. Racists whites are brainwashed to continue on the Klan Agenda. One People. One Humanity. One God-I.
Interesting, although the meaning is a bit vague for my tastes. The music is distorted and could use some work. Just some constructive criticism, so please don't trip.
not all whites are racist. the principalities that inslaved blacks were a certain group. blame it on evil+the devil+satan to cause confusion among two groups of people who have to work together everyday to make this world go round. slavery was wrong but think of all the whites who had nothing to do with it. and they feel hated as much as blacks do. it all equals seperation. slavery is over in a sense but blacks continued to rob cheat and kill each other after the smoked cleared.
I wouldn't say that its racist, but its weird in an art house sort of way. What was the point? Did it have to do with the idea of blackness being some sort of contamination? I liked the reaction shot from the woman.
Honestly, I wanted to create a piece that represented different things to different people, which is why I used all those still and quick shots. Kinda like a visual painting--5 people can look at it and get 5 different things from it. However, the underlying theme is racism is a cancer.
As a black woman this video is very offense to me. i don't know your intentions but you can never be black, you will not ever know what it means to be black and you will never have to deal with the basic hardships of being black in america. The land of the oppressed.....read history. and educate ya self.
I appreciate your comment about my film. You should know, that I am a black woman filmmaker. Historically, "black face" was never about whites WANTING to be black. It was a racist expression of their belief that we were inferior.
This film is my way of illustrating how sad and ridiculous racism is. People SHOULD be upset and angry. Still, blacks shouldn't just look at whites and point the finger. We should also think about how perpetuating negative stereotypes negatively impact our community.
I think this Is brillant. And I think It brings out realitly.I think whites also went through tough times.
I'm white myself and this video Isn't a bit racist.Nice job mate. This Is much appreciated
