"A God given talent" is what this young man was given! I just came across this video today! There are not enough adjectives to express my feelings on his extraordinary beautiful playing...........I am in awe! I need to thank You Tube for putting videos on my channel to view and I chose this classical one. I am a Jazz fan! I NEVER heard or saw anything this amazing and want to acknowledge him in my comment for how I feel! "He is a genius!"
It takes so much more dedication and hard work to be a pianist as good as he is, I just wish I was this good, there is still time for me though, well after seeing that I am off to practice some more. This is very inspirational, thanks for posting this video.
@kiapowmia This piece isn't too hard. It actually fits the hands really nicely. The hardest part is probably the chromatic thirds and sixths. It sounds and looks hard, but is far from it.
Hahah Actually this is a normal Piece from Listz ..If u've practiced Listz before , Almost all the pieces from him are Fucking Hard .I can play Liebestraum and that definitely one of the easiest pieces **So Sad :( **
@NOSEhow2LIV : Hmmmm... If that's so, then I wonder how he won the Chopin competition 10 years ago... hmmmm.... And the year before that, he got third place in the international Liszt competition...
@Macowong911 If you look online you can find a copy of the original published piece. It's Rigoletto Paraphrase by Liszt, based off of Verdi's opera, Rigoletto. That's the copy I am currently using.
Horowitz also made mistakes. Slips always happen in live concerts. Yundi li is by far one of the best young pianists today. Mistakes and all. His passion is genuine and his technique outstanding!
yes, but everyone make mistakes. how come you didnt catch the slips at 0:07, 3:53, 4:18, etc.? its ok to make mistakes. yundi li has great dynamics and expression which is what counts. i also find it interesting that you posted negative comments on this excellent video and my brother's video. i'd like to see you play this piece perfectly and the PERFECT tempo without ANY mistakes or even a tiny slip.
@sTaCkYjO it's hilarious how people think they are better than everybody else because their reputation and standings in life do not apply online. Sigh. Welcome to planet Earth, peoples.

the spotlight is super irritating, i wonder how he can play with that high intensity laser beam right beside his eyes.

@gnimez Agreed. The rotating blue lights are distracting.
