  • Chef, thanks for the recipe. I didn't have any greens but I had Napa Cabbage and it worked just fine. Things turned out amazing and it tastes great!

  • I dislike the part where the narrator says that this is meatless. Quite clearly, using chicken stock and anchovy, this isn't meatless.

  • @lympicitaShoe it doesnt have any actual chunks of meat, it has the juice's/ flavor's of meat. not MEAT itself. theres no chunks of chicken, but chicken flavor/juices.

Perhaps you're one of those northern italians who wishes to secede from the south and refuses to acknowledge it's greek originated culture. "Magna graecia" will live again and this recipe will continue to conquer the world.

  • Im just starting out on cooking for my husband(newly weds) what do you mean when you say spin it dry?

  • @iCandyCatastrophe Spin it dry means putting it in a salad spinner, and spinning it round and round until the water drains out by centripetal force. You can just drain it thoroughly with a colander or something, and pat it dry with paper towels!

  • hey chef I want to make this but someone in my family is allergic to anchovies, do you have a suggestion for a substitution? I was thinking maybe just some extra salt, but im open to suggestions :P

    maybe try some chopped capers or a very very small shot of redwine vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)

  • @faylinameir I forgot to buy anchovies and just used about 2-3 dashes of worcestershire instead, however, i believe it has anchovies in it... maybe try a little soy sauce?

    lolz I never had anchovies. but as a kid I always heard of it on pizza. sounds like it tasted good. but my cousin wanted to shut me up. just told me, "It's not that great dude..." xP

    I never wanted Anchovies again.

  • Now this here may be a big part of why you kicked butt. This is food that makes sense to a gourmet or a casual explorer of the culinary arts. Most of the ingredients you use are not hard to find locally. There is nothing seemingly arcane about the techniques. This is real people's food.

  • @omegahpla What is up with you? I was just making a suggestion. My dad's been vegetarian all his life and he's one of the most, if not THE most intelligent person I have ever met. He's also VERY rarely ill, he only even gets a cold about once a year. I don't care what you say either, it's my choice and I wasn't trying to flame anyone or "get one past" a meat eater; I was simply leaving a comment. Also; my decendents won't be "cow people" if they choose to eat meat. I wont force them either way

  • @ariyanaaxo Anchovies don't taste at all fishy when you put just one or two in a stew/soup- you should try it! It just makes everything taste more hearty.

  • @bobobobobob93 I saw it at one point he just use a DSLR with a tripod. Probably zooms in so it looks closer. (He could have changed his setup, I'm not sure.)
