@bazytown You are completely missing the game mechanics, equipment does add to your stats and such but the good players will mow you down regardless.....remember there are battle mechanics in this game that you probably haven't even seen before, dodging system, timing, placement, knowing when to engage and fall back. The armors are beautiful, that's the point of having them and you can transfer any stats you like with a less appealing set of armor to one that is more appealing, ect.

@bazytown I'm not trying to sell you on the game, just explaining things you may and probably are unaware of....i see so many people make blanket statements when in fact they know little or nothing about the game itself. This isn't like any MMO on the market today. I bet if you gave it a chance you might like it. Hopefully you aren't someone who just resents the game for what it's trying to do out of hand with no research.

@bazytown If you're expecting to just have your hand held through the game to get good armor it won't happen, the game has A.I. in place to discourage that type of play....if you think good armor makes you a good player this isn't the game for you.

@Antimidation Actually the game prevents people from getting free rides in any of the content. You are rewarded nothing in events, and nothing in 5 mans for just simple doing nothing.

@bazytown Armor does make you stronger in this game.

It just not in WoW where no matter how good you are, you cant beat some one if they have better armor.

In this game Armor makes you stronger, however those with skill can still beat you if you suck.

@emptyglo Chances are, you can play it. They've specifically designed it to run fine on lesser systems. Guild Wars 1 was designed to work fine on crap computers in 2005 (but still look great with higher settings on better computers). If your computer is less than 5 years old, I'm sure the requirements won't be a problem for you. What're your specs?

To be honest, i'd rather not be forced into having to play several professions to gain cosmetics/titles it should be possible on 1 prof.

The daily/weekly/monthy especially the monthy feats is what i am excited about because it changes each time and makes it like a uber long quest.

@MrTuraiOssa The rewards are not going to be extreme. They're more to just be that cherry on top. Besides, achievements aren't ever meant to be the thing to get you absurdly powerful gear. In just about any game, achievements are there as an optional goal to shoot for. Mainly as just bragging rights and what not.

@Alhazzared The daily achievements are the game's equivalent to rested XP you find in other games. Games with rested XP reward players who player casually with an XP bonus the next time they play. GW2 will reward casual players with extra XP & gold, with the easy to complete daily achievements, so that they aren't left behind the curve.

@Alhazzared All achievements are not grinding, there are many different types. And actually you don't need to accomplish them. You just gain some gold and xp.. Hey ! You can have gold and xp by MANY other ways ! Achievements are for the ones who like it and that's all. But you can play the entire game without paying attention to them.The simpliest will be done without really trying to do them, and the harder will require more time but if you don't like it you don't need to do it.
