Songs like this separate the wheat from the chaff...there's some depth and humanity to Crowbar that you don't find in those cookiecutter, frog voiced metal bands who try to sound as noisy and as "hardkawr" as possible....the sadness conveyed seems all too real in their songs; like they've lived out their music before writing about it.

In any case,

Anyone who gets contained by one genre, or style, or attitude is either a poser, or one very boring sonofabitch.

Thanks for the kind words. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy loud, focused, aggression as much as the next guy....but you're right on the money: I was partly thinking about screamo garbage when I said it. Not to alienate anyone here, but I loathe stuff like Norma Jean...douchey hipster shit that paved the way for things like Brokencyde. Music like that dilutes metal as a genre and is a step back for music in general.
