sprint everything plan is $99/mnth w/ unlimited calls, minutes, text & internet access. media plan for a 4G phone is required @ $9.99/mnth so i pay $110 a mnth 4 unlimited usage. If ur a sprint customer or want 2 be a sprint custmr & want an EVO go 2 RADIOSHACK . com I BROUGHT THE EVO YESTERDAY FOR $149 + $9.99 SHIPPING! If you are a new sprint customer, shipping is free. If you want next day delivery, shipping is $20. Standard ship is 2-3 business days.
I'm up for a new sprint phone, I was considering the Evo, but its an extra $10permo for 4G, but it has unlimited data, and 3G only has a 5GB limit per month, IS 5GB A TON OF DATA? , and i wont have to worry about going over? I don't use it for business, or is it worth the extra $10 a month for 4G im also concerned about the SIZE of the evo, if you recommend 3G, which Sprint phone should i get.
@cityofchamps2008 wait wait, 3G only has 5 gigs per month limit? Where did you hear that? Or are you on a plan with Sprint where that's the limit? Because even before the EVO, I was on an unlimited data plan that included 'net, texting, etc. Carried that over to the EVO and paid the 10 extra, I was fine with that since I'm still paying much cheaper than what I would with competitors. Trust me, the EVO is worth the 80 a month. It is easily the best all-in-one device I've had the honor of owning.
@invisobill666 it definitely is, I have an EVO and for me it's been the best all-in-one device I've ever had in my life. I love the scalability and customization aspects of it, you can truly make it YOUR phone if you so desire to.
This guy alwase makes good videos!...im getting my htc evo on the 1st(4 days) and im so excited and the to people who made me want to get it was brandon(pocketnow) and noah(phonedog) thanks!!!
@MiTechReviewer yes, you are correct on that, the EVO can accept up to 32 Gigs of memory, and who knows, it might expand to more in the future with a software update. Scalability and customization for the win!
I love the evo, realistically the weight of the phone aint nothing to complain about unless your around 80 years old with arthritis, as for the fit in the pocket its just fine, if its a problem for some get a holster if you dont like holsters then like someone said in a previous comment on another evo video, evo's arent for people who wear tight pants....

@shadowarz hahahhaaha. Sounds like someone is worried that this phone isn't as good as you thought it was gonna be. Bad battery life, huge hardware, and cluttery android os.
@sean1256 dude I posted this days ago.....and why is your apple fanboy ass watching this video? For the record the EVO is the best phone I have ever used and played with......this screen is so awesome that when I see an iPhone, my eyes just see it as a puny little pathetic toy. This thing is even faster than an ipad....its crazy fast, great camera and best camcorder until the iPhone 4 camcorder gets tested......also android is the the second best mobile OS after webos.
@weiss27md It's the same as the HD2, I just rest it on the case if I need to lay it down outside of the case. To be honest it's not that much of an issue when you are using it day to day.
Great video Brandon. Evo seems great, the only think I dislike is the slot placement for microSD. I have a Touch Pro2 and whenever I want to quickly copy photos or music from or onto my device I just open the lid, take the MSD card from the device and into my laptop. Don't have to waste time on ActiveSync. With Evo I would have to turn off the device everytime I want to copy something on to my card.
I love your reviews Brandon, awesome job man, I am definitely getting this phone, either through Best Buy Mobile or through the Sprint Store, either way I'm getting it for my birthday, thanks for the review, keep doing what you do, looking forward to the rest of the reviews for this device but it comes out tomorrow which is June 4, 2010, lol.
@goose8787 that is the problem with preemptive multitasking with Android. There is always something taxing the cpu creating heat etc. It probably is a nice hand warmer. Streaming HD video to external display will sink battery and maybe explode it!
@MultiGeekster the fact that you claim it was a real question and you are so passionately defending it makes even more stupid than what it originally was. Even if you're serious and you honestly wanted to know the answer to that question, it was a dumb question to say the least... "where does the sim go?" IN YOUR ASS, DUMB FUCK!
they are way better..i just unboxed a mytouch slide and the screen does look watched out compard to my nexus one..but not to bad..try the speaker on the mytouch slide its sounds great too
I think that Samsung are the only ones who got it right so far, with their 4" Galaxy S phone. 4" seems to strike the exact right balance between the 4.3" and 3.7" phones. I love it, despite of its iPhone-ish chrome bezel, the lack of a camera flash, and the UI which I will remove on Day 1...
AHA... Brandon confessed that he made the switch to Android (the Nexus One) a long time ago as his main phone. Many old WinMo classic fans have switched to Android, and I doubt WP7 will sway them over. That said, it's too bad the EVO 4G's battery is a deal breaker... it's HORRENDOUS. I can't wait for Tegra 2 phones with Super AMOLED to make an appearance.
all other reviews say its not that much larger. i think the hd2 is 9 mm thick and the evo is 11mm. i guess 2 mm is the difference from a smartphone and a slate device like....
for me this phone is not all that its very big and i have the HD2 and i hear that the 4G isnt all that either because they say its not even going to be better than 3G tmobile and att is working on making 3G faster than 4G so the way i see it ill stay with the HD2
He shoulda said well the whites look white on the EVO But Damn, The Nexus Just KICKS ASS!!!!!!! FTW.
