  • He shoulda said well the whites look white on the EVO But Damn, The Nexus Just KICKS ASS!!!!!!! FTW.

  • this is a really good review i like it dude htc evo 4g rocks on!!

  • couldnt b any heavier than a samsung moment

  • ''IT'S A TIGHT FIT BACK HERE'' that's what she said!

  • do you get paid to review phones! sounds like a nice job

  • iphone/HTC Incredible/NexusOne are the perfect sized slate smartphones!

  • I'm up for a new sprint phone, I was considering the Evo, but its an extra $10permo for 4G, but it has unlimited data, and 3G only has a 5GB limit per month, IS 5GB A TON OF DATA? , and i wont have to worry about going over? I don't use it for business, or is it worth the extra $10 a month for 4G im also concerned about the SIZE of the evo, if you recommend 3G, which Sprint phone should i get.

  • @cityofchamps2008 wait wait, 3G only has 5 gigs per month limit? Where did you hear that? Or are you on a plan with Sprint where that's the limit? Because even before the EVO, I was on an unlimited data plan that included 'net, texting, etc. Carried that over to the EVO and paid the 10 extra, I was fine with that since I'm still paying much cheaper than what I would with competitors. Trust me, the EVO is worth the 80 a month. It is easily the best all-in-one device I've had the honor of owning.

  • @cityofchamps2008 i was given false intel

  • @cityofchamps2008 There is NO limit for ether 3g or 4g. That's the part of the 10/month charge, no matter what plan you're at, it's unlimited.

  • I am getting a new phone but I don't know what to get I've been looking at the Evo but is it really that good

  • @invisobill666 it definitely is, I have an EVO and for me it's been the best all-in-one device I've ever had in my life. I love the scalability and customization aspects of it, you can truly make it YOUR phone if you so desire to.

  • Plz someone cant tell me , HTV EVO how much is the bill, for this cell phone, every month?

  • @georgelewis Minimum bill on sprint is about 79.99 if I remember correctly. Family plan is cheaper if you have that availability.

  • This guy alwase makes good videos!...im getting my htc evo on the 1st(4 days) and im so excited and the to people who made me want to get it was brandon(pocketnow) and noah(phonedog) thanks!!!

  • I have a super amoled screen haha... but go evo!

  • See, I don't see what the big deal about the Iphone is about. I would prefer this phone over the iphone...

  • I LOVE MY EVO ="]

  • which networks does support ?

  • 4G = 1Gbps UP/DOWN .?

  • You do good reviews.

  • that is the largest size of micro SD card that will work with the Evo?

  • @MiTechReviewer yes, you are correct on that, the EVO can accept up to 32 Gigs of memory, and who knows, it might expand to more in the future with a software update. Scalability and customization for the win!

  • evo<3 byy:)

    fuck the iphone fanboys

  • he sounds so cute to me

  • lol.. its a tight fit back here...

    thats what she said :D

  • 5:34 sorry

  • 'its a tight fit back here' 5:36

    sorry i just had to

  • i have bad eyes for me the extra weight was no problem for the ease of viewing games and movies

  • Coming from a Verizon Droid I must say the Evo weighs exactly the same in my hand

  • awesome review!

  • Brandon you do the best reviews on cellphones! I can really see how much time and effort you put into your reviews! Keep it up!

  • Comment removed

  • lol@ being overly picky about "greener greens and whiter whites" on these phones. Really?

  • GREAT REVIEW!!!!!!!!!! keep up the good work!!!!

  • Nice review!!

I think those who got HD2 will not buy this ,right?

Even thourgh I think this is good device, but just only keep in mind.

  • Thank you

  • with 8gigs i don't think you'll be changing it out much.

  • thanks for the review!

  • In Barbados, a phone like this would cost you up to $1,500 or more.

  • EVO 4g is the FUTURE.... Those who have it, "get it" Those who do not, are left wanting !!!

  • every thing is nice the sd card slot

  • We'll talk about it later..

  • amoled is better :D

  • when will evo 4g available in asia?

  • @esquise1 I'm sure it will come to Asia in another form later this year

  • It's Android so it's good :-)

  • Excellent review, like usual. I have the HD2 (TMOUS) and I appreciated the size comparsions.

Of course the Evo makes my tricked out HD2 look like old news.

  • i think the the 3 thumbs down are from apple fanboys

  • @4EVERJAMAIKA your comment indicates that you know an Iphone is better:D

  • @Dominicsky i phone aint got shit on this thing,,, every time i pick the evo up i get a boner

  • hmm yes it looks thick and heavy, ill keep HD2

  • @pocketnow Is CDMA USA exclusive (USA is so weird) xd

    all those exlusive phones...

  • Wow unfortunatly verizon doesn't have this phone =[

  • I love these guys, Pocketnow FTW.

  • @Kalavere thanks =D

  • i dont think its that big compare to the ipad cuz the 4g fits in a pocket and the ipad dosent so i think 4g RoCkS

  • Brandon gave a nicely balanced review. Very insightful.

  • You're still blowing on the AMOLED, geezus.

  • if its too big, get bigger hands, if its too heavy, start working out....this is the KING, period

  • @shadowarz i don't think working out will make my hands bigger ;)

  • @pocketnowvideo obviously i meant that towards your comments thats its heavy

  • @pocketnowvideo hahaha! great phone, hope to get it today!

  • @pocketnowvideo wow dude its a beast phone. its not heavy your a women =P

  • @shadowarz lol, stupid. should he make situps with his hands or what?

  • @shadowarz hahahhaaha. Sounds like someone is worried that this phone isn't as good as you thought it was gonna be. Bad battery life, huge hardware, and cluttery android os.

  • @sean1256 dude I posted this days ago.....and why is your apple fanboy ass watching this video? For the record the EVO is the best phone I have ever used and played with......this screen is so awesome that when I see an iPhone, my eyes just see it as a puny little pathetic toy. This thing is even faster than an ipad....its crazy fast, great camera and best camcorder until the iPhone 4 camcorder gets tested......also android is the the second best mobile OS after webos.

  • holy shit a brick

  • the HTC HD2 looks wider.. is it because its thinner?

  • Nexus One's screen is inaccurate as it's RGB scale is abnormal for reduction of cost.

  • This phone has a MAJOR design flaw, the camera lense touches if the phone is layed down.

  • @weiss27md It's the same as the HD2, I just rest it on the case if I need to lay it down outside of the case. To be honest it's not that much of an issue when you are using it day to day.

  • Well given that i can fit an iPad in my pocket i dont think i'll have problem fitting an EVO 4g in there either.

  • 5:35...THATS WHAT HE SAID!!!!!!!!!!!

  • T-Mobile USA HD2 is still the sexiest phone known to man :D

  • You're supposed to set them to maximum brightness or it will be an unfair comparison. The ambient light rating might vary from device to device.

  • Great video Brandon. Evo seems great, the only think I dislike is the slot placement for microSD. I have a Touch Pro2 and whenever I want to quickly copy photos or music from or onto my device I just open the lid, take the MSD card from the device and into my laptop. Don't have to waste time on ActiveSync. With Evo I would have to turn off the device everytime I want to copy something on to my card.

  • man this is one of the best videos you've done in awhile

  • I love your reviews Brandon, awesome job man, I am definitely getting this phone, either through Best Buy Mobile or through the Sprint Store, either way I'm getting it for my birthday, thanks for the review, keep doing what you do, looking forward to the rest of the reviews for this device but it comes out tomorrow which is June 4, 2010, lol.

  • i think the nexus one screen looks better. But amoled sucks ass in the sunlight.

  • the Evos screen looks smaller than the HD2's. Why?

  • battery life is not good on this phone. thats the bad thing.

  • @goose8787 that is the problem with preemptive multitasking with Android. There is always something taxing the cpu creating heat etc. It probably is a nice hand warmer. Streaming HD video to external display will sink battery and maybe explode it!

  • wow 113 thumbs up and 0 thumbs down. good job brandon !

  • @KingFC163 =D

  • @pocketnowvideo now its 3 thumbs down brandon 240 thumbs up :)

  • @KingFC163 when you said that some jerk gave him a thumbs down

  • @KingFC163 its because the guy sounds sharp and dont ummmmm ummmm every other word like some of the other guys up here.

  • wish they made this phone in a 3g only model and it was on T-Mobile

  • brandons the best!!!!!

  • where does the sim go ?

  • @MultiGeekster it's CDMA, no SIM

  • @MultiGeekster even if you were trying to be funny, this comment is stupid as hell

  • @emyllsomar it was a real question you fuck tard am from the uk and we all have sim cards in our phone !!!!

  • @MultiGeekster the fact that you claim it was a real question and you are so passionately defending it makes even more stupid than what it originally was. Even if you're serious and you honestly wanted to know the answer to that question, it was a dumb question to say the least... "where does the sim go?" IN YOUR ASS, DUMB FUCK!

  • ugggh. I want this phone

  • cant wait for android 2.2 then maybe ill hack for free thethering

  • i thought it was not to come out till 6-4-10

  • @j7x54 You're right.

  • Once XDA starts coming up with custom roms for it that optimize the phone, it'll be worth it.

  • they are way better..i just unboxed a mytouch slide and the screen does look watched out compard to my nexus one..but not to bad..try the speaker on the mytouch slide its sounds great too

  • Brandon great meeting you yesterday in NYC

  • @DanielJapikse you too, sir.

  • I think that Samsung are the only ones who got it right so far, with their 4" Galaxy S phone. 4" seems to strike the exact right balance between the 4.3" and 3.7" phones. I love it, despite of its iPhone-ish chrome bezel, the lack of a camera flash, and the UI which I will remove on Day 1...

  • @KnightMD No, 4 inch is stupid, it is not big enough and also not small enough for the user groups...

  • @KnightMD No, 4 inch is stupid, it is not big enough and also not small enough for the user groups...

  • AHA... Brandon confessed that he made the switch to Android (the Nexus One) a long time ago as his main phone. Many old WinMo classic fans have switched to Android, and I doubt WP7 will sway them over. That said, it's too bad the EVO 4G's battery is a deal breaker... it's HORRENDOUS. I can't wait for Tegra 2 phones with Super AMOLED to make an appearance.

  • not too big of an upgrade from an HD2, ill just keep my HD2 cause i am still happy with it

  • all other reviews say its not that much larger. i think the hd2 is 9 mm thick and the evo is 11mm. i guess 2 mm is the difference from a smartphone and a slate device like....

  • @Royland00 HD2 is 11mm thick and Evo is 12.7mm thick

  • for me this phone is not all that its very big and i have the HD2 and i hear that the 4G isnt all that either because they say its not even going to be better than 3G tmobile and att is working on making 3G faster than 4G so the way i see it ill stay with the HD2

  • Oh if it twer Friday ....

Nice EVO fix ... er ... I mean review :-)

    Thank you for sharing!

  • I want this in Europe/Germany :(

  • is the htc touch pro 2 heaver then the evo?

  • @NIKOKAPS EVO is 6o unces and the TP2 is 6.3 ounces you wont know the difference in weight in this matter

  • Comment removed

  • @NIKOKAPS EVO is 170grams and the TP2 is 178grams but to be honest you wont know the difference in weight in this matter

  • Great review!

  • Great review!
