Genuine Risk. The first and only filly to win the Kentucky Derby then place second in both the Preakness then the Belmont. Two years later she was bred to the legendary 1973 Triple Crown winner Secretariat. Their foal would have made history as the first offspring of two Kentucky Derby winners, sadly her foal was a stilborn. She only foaled two foals after that, both of which never raced. At the time of her death at age 31 she was the oldest living Kentucky Derby winner.
..... but unfortunately Ytube closed partymanners' acct bec supposedly too many violations of copyrights. I don't understand that... technically every video on YouTube wld have to come down on these races, and tons of music. Really too bad, I treasured the Preakness video, the whole thing of 1980.
Oh, how I loved her... partymanners had the whole Preakness here with Arcaro commenting with broadcasters, lengthy discussion... and Eddie Arcaro concluded that clearly Cordero on Codex shld've been taken down.
The Phillies went on to win their first WS that year. They won their second after Eight Belles finished second to that steroid monster,Big Brown.
