nice video.. giving me some ideas on my build... but one question.. y did u heat up the sheet metal when u bent it??.. i bend 12 gauge all day long at work and we never heat it up... its pointless....
@DaTwistedOne1 That's good to know... I haven't ever done anything like that and thought heating it would make the bend more square. Metal working is something I would like to get into more, but I'm definitely a newb in that area. Thanks for the info.
@drumboog best way to get it to stay square.. assuming you dont have a break... is finding something flat (ie a table or bench or what have you) and taking a piece of wood and clamping it down on top of the sheet of metal...while keeping it flush to the edge of the table... then.. taking another piece of wood and push it flat to the wood you used to clamp the sheet down (we'll call it the "clamp")...then push down (or up) on the wood while keeping it up against the "clamp"..
@DaTwistedOne1 if the edge isnt straight or "crisp" enough to what you want... just use a piece of wood and a small body hammer and straigthen the roundover... i use that method if i dont have access to the break and dont have time to wait...
i just built a computer but not with a custom case like that and i am planning on making something like what you did. great video and looks like a lot of fun
I have the same vice :)

you probably shouldnt be using power tools on sheet metal inside. or at least without some sort of vacuum to get rid of the fragments.
