  • My two pups died of that virus yesterday it ws a sad and painful death my little brother cried.

  • My dog has a high fever (up to 105.8) -I brought him to the vet and he is on Cephalexin.. However, I need to bring him back because the fever only drops slightly and then goes back up... I STILL don't know what his illness is....Could you recommend a test? I am out of work and love my dog and want him to heal... But I am limited to $... (he got his puppy shots but now he is 11.5 years old...

  • And she is on primidone medication a.k.a. mysoline

  • Even though this was back in last August, could this have set her up to be extra sensitive to stimulating activities? There is no pattern with her seizures except that they all occur at night. So far she has had 8 seizures since January, will the number increase? Are seizures ever able to kill a dog? Can seizures be cured? Please help us

  • It's so frustrating to see a poor dog suffer from seizures and there's no way of knowing what is the root cause. The only thing I can think of which could have possibly set her off was a slightly traumatic experience she had last summer. We had to leave her in a kennel for 3 months, and when we got her back at the end of summer she had lost so much weight, we could feel her hip bones.

  • Hello,

My 7 year old German shepherd has been experiencing seizures since January 28th of this year. After her first seizure we took her into the vet, and the vet recommended a full checkup (blood work, thyroid testing etc...) however the results came back healthy. She has been started on medication three times a day, and she is still having seizures.

  • hey guys Im a laboratory lab scientist and i work at Idexx laboratories in Irvine,ca

When canine distermper is suspected, as the vet to order a CANINE DISTERMPER VIRUS BY PCR. you need a full LTT (purple top)tube with blood or swabs in a sterile tube. This test is 99% sensitive and will detect the virus if it is present.

  • Thanks! I have a coon, quantined in the gerage. That has this,

According to O.D.N.R. They said, He'll ether survive & Him & His offspring, will be imune to it. Or He'll die & to Bury Him

So I Feed, Check & Pray, He'll Survive!

Thanks & Have a Good One!

  • nice video & great information - very informative

  • Thanks for the nice compliment

  • @TotalGermanShepherd my german shepherd has developed a brownish film like substance over his eyes so you cant really see the iris or pupil that well but he isnt blind. he chases a ball and catches birds and roams our farm so i guess he can see better than you think.

  • Great, great information and easy to understand too. THX
