  • If anybody would like to see some maschine vids check out my channel and click uploads! Otherwise enjoy the great tutorial from NI!

  • i finding oit so hard to record my maschine into logic 9 ,how do you do this ,if anyone can help that would be great

  • I finally got my Maschine running but now it keeps quitting unexpectedly how do I stop this from happening?

  • could you just plug your record player into the maschine and not use a computer?

  • Can some one please tell how to turn this damn thing on I download everything and nothing happens when I click it it just says no application selected and when I get into machine software the thing doesn't turn on

  • 14000 samples... Why do these companies think we want these? Most people I know including myself would rather use/find there own. I know this dosint have synths but I just gotta get it out. Instead of having a bunch of synths why not some that you can modify really well.

Gueeeeesh these kinda companies need to do some product research. This is why the SP-404 is very popular yet very very basic.

  • For maschine users: how is the pads sensitivity? I have an akai usb controller and the pads are too hard for my own taste.

  • why can't i hear the beats? i have my headphones plugged into my computer, but i can't hear anything.

  • how bout putting up some tutorials that actually help? fucking cunts

  • @moneymikerunsshit IKR!!! they call them "tutorials" but there's nothing actually telling you how to get around the thing step by step!!! It's all just a bunch of overviews of Maschine's capabilities...I've had it for a week and haven't done one whole song yet on it just out of frustration of not knowing how to get around in it the way I do in Reason and Pro Tools!!!

  • Just got Maschine today, instead or enjoying on how to use it I'm spending time trying to find out the best workflow in Logic. All I want is to record into Logic in separate tracks so I can bounce them to have them mixed. If anyone knows a simple way of doing this please tell me. Thanks.

  • man i have 1.7 someone pls tell me how to cut a sample with another on iv looked up Pitch/Gate even done what i was told select sample then src tab but i dnt see anything someone give me step by step pls

  • Which is better, the MPC 5000, or this NI Machine?

  • @JediTy63 It's more about preference than anything bro. I'd say get both of em but if you really want a choice then I'd say get the Maschine because it's so versatile and it comes with so much more. I own both but the Maschine is a fucking studio in a box. Add Monitor speakers and you're now rockin with the best.

  • @BlackRainINC1 True, purchased it yesterday. Great product.

  • @JediTy63

I have both, and I've found that I love both...I would say this

If you are a big user of analog or you have used MPC's in the past, stick with the 5000,

It's easy to learn, and is a classic workhorse that has been tried and proven

If DAW's are your main recording interface, NI's Maschine is the way to roll, think of MPC in tune with Logic or Pro tools or whatever.

I really do love both, but if i had to give one up, I'd say the poor Akai would have to go. :( got too many plugins...

  • Hey guys i just got my first ever beat making hardware and and software. i happened to buy a Maschine NI which was recommended and i love, even though i am still new to it and have a lot to learn i love what i've learnt to do with it so far and can't wait to learn to use it more fluently. In order for me to use it to the best of its ability i was wondering if reason 6 is a good program to use with machine ? i purchased reason 6 as i bought my equipment, is ableton better ?

  • can you hook up a keyboard with the machine and.its.software?

  • How cool Lex Luther doing maschine tutorials!

  • I'm getting mines Saturday

  • he talks like that sheldon guy from the big bang theory

  • How much is the Machine?

  • I got mine on Saturday ;-)

  • I have looked on craigs list. They want $50 less then the new one.

  • what's the price ?

  • @demolliking too much

  • @demolliking $600 $489 if you're in school. worth every penny though.

  • what's the price ?

  • wie viel kostet so ein ''mixpult'' ?

  • Thanks for your help.

    Hugs

  • So can this be used without a computer? just by itself?

  • @IASvB maschine hardware is literally a midi controller ( no sound and can be used as any standard midi controller ) and Maschine software is a siamese twin that has a searchable db and thousands of sounds.

  • How well does a MIDI keyboard work with this? I'm assuming it can considering he was using one in the vid.

  • @zShwagg whatever pad is selected the kybd is auto locked in........change padmode to get the "keyboard" layout across your keys.

  • @smartwerker

    ah. thank you sir.

  • Comment removed

  • @mygoodshitzzz

U r talking shit and haven't even used Maschine, obviously. When you edit samples ADSR and other "sampling button" options exist..........and it's better if you upgrade to 1.7 version of Maschine software

  • Can you use a Maschine with FL Studios 10 ?!?!?!?!?

I make beats on FL and im thinking of buying one !

  • @MarsayThe1st

    Yup!

  • is this easy for a beginner even?

  • @iswearshes18

    I'm afraid so!

  • Hello I wonder if it is possible to synchronize the MASCHINE in FL Studio? Well I'm not getting. Could you help me? Thank you.

  • @djfabinhowus 1. ) activate maschine in your midi layout 2.) run maschine as vst in FL 3. ) Select File -> Send Midi Clk ( in Maschine software )

  • Hi, how can I to link maschine On FL Studio?

  • Just, just bought this

  • Guys, can someone please use some time to help me a little bit? Just finished my confirmation and i got pretty much money.. And well, i want to spend it on some music production stuff, since i am aiming for becoming a professional. Does anyone know about a good MIDI controller that you can cable into FL studio and that can make some deadmau5-ish chilled house sounds? It would be awesome if someone could help me:) THANKS!

    -Grubzy

  • @ NativeInstruments hey mang imma bout to pik a maschine up but before i get 1 i was wonderin whats da difference between a Maschine and a Maschine 1.5, thanx mang

  • If i buy this, what software do i need to buy for it?

  • @RyanRoberzzz all the software comes with it, reaktor, guitar rig, kontact plus maschines own software, its great

  • @RyanRoberzzz

You can use anything. I use Ableton and Fl.

  • Since I started using Maschine, my hair has been fuller.

  • @conkerzzz lol

  • @conkerzzz epic comment ( seriously ! )

  • @conkerzzz maybe the guy doing the video can use your advice

  • @RickyMoss Hey brother, you seem to give an honest answer (straight, no chaser).. What do you think, is the N I Machine better than the MPC 5000?

  • so if u want to chop something up like dj rafik..u have to use cues?

  • how much would it be?

  • @drakebeats4 I would recommend going on Craigslist - it seems a lot of people bought these and have no patience for them so they're selling. Just make sure they change the ownership for you otherwise you can't use the software

  • @mundie33 takes a while to get used to, but it's SOOOO worth it. People need to be patient. It's the complexity and versatility of a piano, not a tin whistle.

  • @mundie33 Tell me about it, you would think it would be straight forward...My other problem now is that I have Maschine running in Logic and the timeline of Maschine is not in sync with Logic. I'm sure it has to do with another big ass work around ...shhhhhh

  • @mundie33 or you can use try before buy

  • Okay, i have Traktor Kontrol S4, with the Traktor program that it came with, could I use the Kontrol X1 with the program if I get one? Could I use the Maschine with it also?

  • No worries. No, it would only popup if you clicked it with the mouse, so you can keep Traktor in front while you jam away.

  • okay, since the maschine has its own program that runs on your computer, how would i run traktor scratch pro 2 at the same time? wouldnt their need to be two different windows on the same screen ?

  • @ThESToNeDSTuDeNT Yeah, you would. You basically have to run them side by side. You could use two screens for this, not run them maximized so you can have both fully or partially on the same screen, or you could simply have one of them hidden behind the other (likely to be Maschine).

  • @jthiesen99 yeah that makes sence dude thanks, but if i pressed a button on the maschine if the program was hidden behind traktor, would the maschine program pop up or is that not really a big deal? sorry bout all the questions im tryin to learn about all this before buyin it

  • The one thing I can't stand is the USB port. All I have to do is move half an inch and it slides right out of the socket. Other than that it's awesome.

  • Logic dont need to do shit niyakka!!!!!!

Logic is the shit all of these software companies build off of.

Pro tools didnt have groove templates...they dick riders

I been with Logic since 2.5 dongle days niyakka!!!

  • doesn anybody know/have a Maschine layout for ToucOsc ??

  • People who have difficulty with Maschine don't know how to use it. I absolutely love it, but I also know how to use it effectively.

  • @TheFrenziedPianist Do you know any forums that discuss how to use it? It's my first time with a beat machine and I've always used keyboards to make tracks like the korg triton series and roland x series. So I kind of grasp this a little but little things like how to load drum kits without an actual already laid out pattern loading is what I can't figure out, I want to create my own pattern and not use the already created loops and patterns. I just want the instruments themselves to load

  • @refuse2bstopped. You could try the Native Instruments forums. Or simply read the manual. To load kits or sounds just press the "browse" button, then select the drums you want.

  • Worst piece of shit I ever spend 600 euros on.. DO NOT BUY!!!

  • when i open the maschine program it mutes my browser sound.why?

  • @LForceCrew when i watch videos on the internet and maschine is running it makes it so i can only hear things through my computer speakers even when i have headphones plugged in and when i use the maschine i have to plug in my headphones to hear it. it sux :/

  • I WANTTTTTTTTTTT >.<

  • i bought the maschine but why cant i find my free samples, i found some, but where are all the kicks like shown here at 1.38

  • can i install the maschine by native instruments without the cd?

  • Also, can it be controlled using a midi keyboard?

  • @FollowThisDream Yep, you just have to run the keyboard through the Maschine with MIDI.

  • @cr4ftr Does this maschine need to have a computer connected? Do you know of any videos showcasing its own internal sounds and not computer samples?

  • @FollowThisDream It needs to be connected to a computer. That's one of the things that keeps this unit from rising above the MPC in popularity. However, as the description says, this is a Groove Production STUDIO. It's an all in one package which defies the presets of other all in ones which is to do a lot, but not well. This thing does a lot amazingly. This thing has replaced my keyboard for basslines, a majority of my work in Live and increased my workflow tenfold. I'd fully recommend it.

  • Do you need to use software and a daw in order to take FULL advantage of its best features and sounds? In other words, are the best sounds from external software that is made to work with maschine? Or does it have all the sick sounds internally? I hate software because of the inevitability of obsolescence in the future. Thanks in advance.

  • how do you make a sound start over when you hit the pad again?

I downloaded a synth sample but its 8 seconds long and when i press it twice, it's playing both times at once.

  • @drakeguitar1 Hold down the group, and scroll the left most knob down to 1. This decreases the polyphony so that only one sound will play.

  • Here's my question. I use Propellerhead RECORD software, Can I use the MASCHINE with my software?

  • @CoOlTy3000 Yep. It works great. Make the beats in Maschine, transfer them to record and go from there like you normally would.

  • check out my maschine, s4 and x1 mix!!!

  • It's Moby!

  • How do I switch from Maschine mode to midi mode? Or how do I change the pad sensitivity?

  • 1st beat!!!! check it out

  • I'm not looking to mix so much, I'm focused on producing. Is their anything that rivals this that caters more to producers? Although, the Maschine sounds great for producers but I want to see if there is anything around the same price range that may offer more in regards to producing.

  • HOW MUCH IS THE MASHCINE??????????????

  • @mrjburgos69 599,00€...i was on their site 5 mins ago

  • sorry as this mite sound dumb but I am a beginner dj, I just got a traktor kontrol s4 but I don't only just want to mix songs i want to produce, with this maschine we'll I be able to make melodies beats and everything?

  • @Ctunee Yes.

  • Can I use Propellerhead Record with Maschine?

  • God damn i was just going to sleep and now you gave me a adrenaline rush!

  • Can you use the Maschine controller independently without being connected to the computer at all?

  • @MatthewMatthematic

no it contains no sound it only sends out midi data

  • @TeunvsT Oh okay gotya.

  • @TeunvsT didnt the guy just say masch has a bunch of presampled sounds in it??

  • @AeonFlexMusic

    you stupid

the maschine controller contains no sound, it only tells the maschine software what to do

  • @TeunvsT no but i know for a fact that 'you stupid' maschine comes with a library of sounds, retard, try paying attention a little harder ok? bye

  • @TeunvsT yea your wrong. maschine is literally the future of music. it has amazing stock sounds and works as a stand alone. its not like anything else everrrr. i havent even got through half the sounds. cant wait to upload vids this maschine got me like 8 levels higher

  • @droptopmusik

look people I was only answering MatthewMatthematic's question which was: 'Can you use the Maschine controller independently without being connected to the computer at all?'

this is getting confusing because some people refer to maschine as the whole package, where other people refer to it as only the controller. the thing I said about the maschine controller not containing any sound is right, no discussion. so don't say I'm wrong. I'm not. and yes it is a good product, no doubt

  • im kinda busy and didnt watch the rest of the video, but could anyone tell me if you need native instruments or any software at all to use this machine ?????

  • Hi Everyone , is there a version with French translation? please.

  • @PhonicStereocenter No problem... Maschine Il est magnifique!

    ;O)

  • Maschine is the shit, ive had it for a while, loving it more every day

  • logic sucks. lol

  • What can I do with Mashine that I cant do with my DAW and a MIDI Drum controller? Can anyone tell me? Not trying to diss Maschine here because it looks cool, but i'm just cautious as to why i should invest in this when i don't overtly see anything that I can't already do with my DAW and drum controller? Thanks

  • very cool,count me in for 1

  • Hella expensive =/

  • this may be a dumb question but im new to this, is it possible to record ur own vocal, keyboard and guitar tracks on top of the samples that u create with the NI?

  • i know it would be diffucult, but can you run maschine and save prjects without a computer?

  • installing the software is the most frustrating thing ive experienced

  • @cokezzzftw why, its just a dvd

  • @bryan350z It didn't work. I had to keep reinstalling and after 5 hours of trying, it finally worked.

  • so far I have not heard a single demo of Maschine that it's NOT crap music. Please make products for composers and musicians too, not just DJ's.....

  • IM SELLING A BRAND NEW MASCHINE... MESSAGE ME IF YOUR INTERESTED.

I JUST GOT IT BUT FOUND OUT IT WASNT REALLY FOR ME, NO BULLSHIT, EVERYTHING IS INCLUDED + LICENSE

    MESSAGE ME IF YOUR INTERESTED

  • could i make sound in NI Massive and then use those as samples in maschine?

  • @chuckles1252 The answer is "yes".

  • Maschine or MPC-2000XL?

  • @Fagottron im wit u in that one..

  • some one please help me! i just bought maschine and ive just set it up. at first i couldnt get any sound so i went in the audio settings and changed it from asio to wasapi(shared mode) and now i have sound. but the sound is terrible, it sounds very "scratchy". it has a kind of broken sound to it. any suggestion?

  • GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD

  • when buying maschine, does it come with the full version of the software? ive heard that it comes with a demo version, and the full version must be purchased seperatly. any help is appreciated :)

  • @beatjugglez That is not true.

  • @beatjugglez it comes with the full version and thousand and thousands of samples, also so far all updates were free.

  • @beatjugglez

Full version....and you get the 1.6 update free.

  • this looks sickk!

  • @classichiphopshow Maschine is so sick it's terminal I'm afraid. If you can afford it you could get quite few and make a wall of them, they offer an extremely funky ambient lighting scenario for the forward thinking interior designer.

  • i tried mine with a chipotle rub and and baked it at low heat for 3 hours, serves everybody and goes well with a pino noir

  • Logic needs to step up and allow plugins to pass on midi information to other plugins through AU to make the most of Maschine and other plugins... currently Logic is I think about the least useful DAW to have with Maschine... a huge chink in its otherwise gleaming armour... wake up please Apple!

  • @dudemusicspace I concur. I use Logic. However not Maschine at the moment, but the plugins in general are limited. They need to make like a VST bridge for it.

  • @VocalIntuition I think AU/VST and RTAS/VST wrapping for example are not as functional as they 'should' be. However NI have announced that Maschine 1.6 will host AU and VST plugins... so that's huge for Maschine aficionados. However it is still a poor substitute for AU being able to pass midi... some great pattern sequencers including XFer Records Nerve and Sugar Bytes Thesys for example both output midi but are literally crippled by Logic's current AU specification... feature request Apple!

  • @dudemusicspace what would u say is the most uswful DAW for use with the Mashcine?

  • @BLO2BAY Any DAW that will:

    a) allow Maschine's plugin to pass midi to other plugins to play their sounds.*

    b) allow Maschine's plugin to use it's own multiple outputs.

You could get demo versions of Cubase and Live and see how you go with them.

    * Yes Maschine 1.6 beta allows plugin hosting but not multiple outputs for those plugins as yet... and anyway do you really want a DAW with a messed up or weak midi implementation when you can get amazing midi capability.

  • @dudemusicspace Is there no ReWire support?

  • @squeeb4 No idea (and with respect) I don't care I spent ages screwing about with it with Logic 9... waste of my time and sanity. Cubase 6 has been head and shoulders above Logic 9 since I started using it. Could do with the window combination thing happening but so far I'm happy... just works.

  • @dudemusicspace this is so true. when I found out that maschine doesnt work with logic pro 9 I felt that I kinda wasted my time learning around logic lol

  • @dudemusicspace Just use Ableton when you bust out your "Maschine" . I love Logic more than any other DAW, but it really is useful in the creation and recording process of music. Once your tracks are mixed and mastered bounce them over to Ableton and chop them up so you can use them on your "Maschine" or whatever DAW of choice you prefer. Versatility my friend I had to learn this the hard way :/

  • @BaxterSims I now use Cubase 6 which IMHO eats Logic 9 and Pro Tools 9 for breakfast and if I want it will happily Rewire from Live to! I am very very happy with Cubase and the only small problem I have had is a little bug with side-chaining... it's the first DAW I haven't wanted to throw out of the window! LOL ;O)

  • @dudemusicspace what's a better DAW to use with maschine I have logic but i'm thanking of using ableton live what do u think?

  • @kikonuts3425 I have Cubase 6 now... I love it... the most logical easy to use DAW I have used (Pro Tools/Logic/Digital Performer). You can demo both Cubase and Live to decide for yourself.

  • couldnt you just do all this with ableton and any of the various dedicated midi controllers that you hear so much praise about. Why would you need an extra hardware computer with your daw if ableton does all this inside itself? maybe im being naive but it seems strang. can someone clarify?

  • @thenewyardbirds I think what Maschine enables is the advantages of Ableton Live's way of working in or with the other DAWs which ultimately makes the combination superior for a lot of people... plus it can do a lot without resorting to mousing around... so overall its takes your DAW large with a big shake and extra fries. ;O)

  • este aparatiko me da risa

  • 7 people don't have fingers...

  • My maschine wont record no more, but it will still play the sound, i just got an external hard drive, if anyone knows how to fix that problem, thanks. i think it just needs more storage, so how do i fix that.?

  • just out of interest, can you use this standalone with no computer whatsoever?

  • @djwickstar

Nope, you must have a computer. But you can use the hardware as a stand alone MIDI controller to trigger a sound module.

  • What the point of this piece of crap, when you can just buy a mac, download Logic and make much better beats.

  • Can you sync samples you loaded into mashine to the current beat you are using? Is a hard to do?

  • @terrymcmoore good question, have you found the answer yet??

  • If you have money to blow and it will reap benefits like selling beats or becoming a producer sure, but as a guy coming up and just starting you won't be able to afford this. It's like they deliberately don't think of the little people or those with the same ideas but can't afford their material, and it's like that with most companies.

  • @Shadowlooker12 IT ONLY COST 600$ BRO LOL RELAX MAN

  • @NINOBROWN917 'only'...

  • @Trandall1992 sorry for that comment i made i just happen to have a good job :D

    cheers

  • @Shadowlooker12

I have a racks full of equipment that can now be replaced by this one simple box! So for what it does it's a super bargain. I have keyboards that cost 3 times what Maschine does and they don't even sample! It has even lowered my electric bill so it's environmentally friendly (not running 2 racks of outboard gear) LOL. If you are just starting out and are serious about making music I suggest checking eBay and saving your money until you can afford one, you will be glad you did.

  • As usual, such a good piece of hardware for so much money. This is why people like things and ops out for other choices and then ends up not getting it even when they can purchase it. I get fed up with the fact that things are so expensive even when I can afford it, because to me it's not that serious to be paying 400 and 500 bucks for.

  • Is it PC compatible?

  • so this is probably a stupid question but can you run it with ableton or fl studio?

  • @drossav 1:11 he answers that question for you...yes you can

  • @drossav It's not a stupid question, and you can run it in both.

  • do you need to coect the maschine to a compluter to make it work?

  • does maschine have a time-strech function for samples?

  • how many snere heve this mashine --
