My analogy of it is.... the first half are planes rising above the ground causing pitch rising, then the pitch lowers as if a plane is reaching a wonderful city. Then the other half is just cruising through an amazing city, hence being called Citylanes Airplanes.

I think the pitch change at the beginning has a relation to an airplane taking off (the word airplane is in the song name, right?). As the pitch gets higher, the plane gets faster. I'm not sure. That's what I took from it.
