i have some questions about the game. can you do a move and attack action in the same turn without taking a click of damage? also do all powers require you to give an action? also can you do an move action and use a power in the same turn??? I also have some questions about blocking. Like if you stand next to an opposing character do the have to roll for a break away to move?? also does using a power when you have not action tokens require you to give you character a token?? Please help me!!
@rolly11247 only if the figures you have come with the cards. I would say for much of the newer sets you would, because they all come with them and they will say if they have special powers. That you would not know what they did unless you read their card. If they have standard powers then you don't need the card
Hey, thought I might ask you for some advice. I thought might be interesting to get a couple friends into a miniature/board game kinda think. Debating between hero clix or some war miniatures game.
My first question is whether Heroclix is still in production or is it like a dying hobby. And also are the DC, Marvel, and other sets different games all together or are the characters in all the universe compatible in the same game.
@BlizzGo I could go into a huge rant on this topic but I will save it for a future video. (This is my account as well :) ) Heroclix is still in production with at least 3 or 4 expansions planned for next year alone. Heroclix is as strong as ever. Though depending on where you live it could be more popular or less popular.
And yes they all are compatible Marvel Vs DC is fine if you want to do something like that. I say get into it if you enjoy Comic book heroes and Villains.
I'm not so much of a comic book fan but you never know I guess. Thanks for the quick response. That's really cool how they are all compatible. I guess all my friends and my cousin as well might just get heroclix for Christmas this year. Any recommendations a good place to buy them online and what should I get? Like DC, Marvel, saw some Halo and Gears of Wars stuff as well. Is there any balancing issues if you get all my friends stuff from different universes?
@BlizzGo The best of the best are the DC, Marvel Figures. Though the Halo and Gears of wars are good they play more like Army building figures. You can play them together or Vs each other no problem, but if your playing Superman Vs Halo more often Superman will win. But Superman Vs say a Marvel team or another DC team it might be alittle more even. But again yes they all can be played together. Places online, Um not sure because I buy most of my stuff at my local comic store.
@BlizzGo Maybe ebay or just doing some google searches for bricks or cases. Go to HCRealms.com and go to units. You can see all of the sets that came out and all of the figures there. This might give you an idea of what you might want to get. Thought Hulk set is coming out right before Christmas. They are also making Lord of the Rings figures too. Great time to get into the game if you ask me. Go to HcRealms and poke around.
@TheGlassCabinet ahh my fail lol I just recent;y bought the starter set of street fighter, I also bought a 10$ Nightwing and Starfire duo peice, as well as the $40 Fing fang foom <3
yeah this helpls a little, but what is the deal with power actions and an action token? are they the same? because some say "give this charcter a power action..." or "give this charcter an action token..." is their a difference? and could you explain Leadership?
i dont quite understand the thing with tokens. you said you were doing a 300 point game so you can use 3 action tokens. and if you go over 2 its pushing. so if i have a 500 point game i can have a limit of 5 action tokens and any over 1 a character takes pushing damage?
also what does it mean when a character is given a "power action" as oppose to an action token???
@MENDEL7530159 oh, in a 300 point game you have 3 actions you can use for your whole team. in a 500 point game you would have 5 actions per turn to use throughout your whole team. What i think your asking about is how many tokens can one figure get? First, a single figure gets 1 action token per turn if they do a power action (move, attack, or use an ability other than a free action) Then on your next turn you can give them another action or clear them.
@MENDEL7530159 Con't.... If you give another action to that same character they push, and take another token which would be 2, & then take 1 click of damage unless they have an ability that prevents them from that pushing damage. No figure can have 3 tokens, so lets say on turn 3 at the end if your figure has 2 tokens they must clear. Does this help
Like Ukraz, I'd like to thank you a great deal. I wanted to get into heroclix for a while but always figured it would be too complicated for me like when I tried to get into UFS. But this video showed me that this game is actually pretty simple to start out, but everything since has been a learning experience. I just now figured out energy explosion, knock back, and duo attack today. I'm learning more and more, and having tons of fun. Thanks for the push! (no pun intended.)
Hey TheGlassCabinet I have read the rulebook or Heroclix, the whole book, but I still do not understand a lot of the effects the characters have, like on their character cards. And a little bit about movement. Do you have to memorize ALL the effects Heroclix and or do you have to bring the rulebook and powers and abilites card with you when you battle. I am a beginner. Please please respond and help. Do most Heroclix players have ALL the effects and symbols memorized? I know you need your cards.
@davidtres28 Thanks. since I posted I now have hundreds of Heroclix... lol, been busy. Love the Giant-Sized X-Men set. I been buying a lot of singles from older sets online. I have yet to play an actual game with someone though... the game seriously died out at the game store locally, not sure why. Like 3 people got into it, and never came back to play it or something. I dunno. Thanks for the tips!
The rulebooks have sections with red lines crossing out certain rules (pointless to print them and then cross them out) and they read more like a list of corrections to previous works than an actual guide. As far as I can see, the only real "rulebook" is the single sheet that came with the set I bought.
I really wanted to see what figures/ sets are available for purchase so that I can order some, but they really don't seem to supply that information. Very frustrating.
I picked up Heroscape to play with my son some months back and recently decided to try Heroclix as well, since Heroscape doesn't seem as popular.
My main issue with Heroclix is that the official site is *horrible*. I have been trying to find what products are available, but there is precious little information on the official site. I also tried looking at their rulebook, but they list 2 of them, without any real explanation of the differences. (continued)
Allright, so I have ALOT of hero clix because I love marvel and would but singles for like .25$ at gaming stores, but I never got any cards with them, can I still play? Also I have the old Xmen starter, can I play with that?
@darthbane53 It depends on the sets. Anything before Avengers have cards. The only reason I would say you need a card is if they have a special power Which is a whit square on the dial with a black border. Those are only specified on the card
@darthbane53 it depends on the sets. Anything from Avengers and after have cards including Legion of Super Heroes Starter. The only reason you need a card is if they have a Special ability or trait on the card. Traits are a star symbol on the dial. Special powers are a white box with a balck border around it.

I am sitting on the toilet right now, right this very moment as I type this.
I have painful diarrhea. It's been coming out like water for quite some time.
It began as a lot of gas; I was farting a lot. They were REALLY loud, and some of them sounded really funny.
They smelled pretty good, too.
Thank you.

You missed step 1 - have enough cash to afford these expensive pieces of plastic.
But that's true for all table character table games.
