i don't like this beer, but i have only had it fresh, and i'm not a huge fan of belgiums to begin with, so it maks sence why i wouldn't like it. i wonder if iactually reviewed it, could i seperate myself from personal like to the quaity of the bee... most times i can, but sometimes my personal dislike comes out. and whats with name calling.
Pretty astute call on the vinegar, there is definitely a sharpness in the nose of this beer, fresh and aged, and while vinegar often is associate with off flavors and aromas this a bit different. I do always seem to find that no matter the age on 3 Philos, the next day is a guaranteed hang-over effect. The addition of Liefmans Kriek gives just enough cherry and funk to change the beer as it ages as well. Might crack open a 2008 soon to see how it is.
I love the way Henry describes things "dancing wood nymph" lol. I really like this beer fresh, sounds like ill have to pick one up and age it if I can't find one already done for me...
Henry is back!!!! Been a while, hope he is doing well. Sounds really good, and I can get this (I believe its a 2010 vintage)! I think I will pick up a bottle. Great review guys, cheers!
It's really nice to see Henry again!
Nice review, I'd like to try this beer in these bigger bottles someday. Cheers!

@DenisLD yeah it seems like bottle conditioned beers taste better in 750ml bottles instead of 330ml or 355ml

Great to see Henry back! 9/10 sounds about right for this beer. Definitely a unique take on a quad and it really works.

@wisehybred no way! Extremely bubbly and peppery fresh. Vintage really smooths it out.
