This is more than a music video - it's an artistic journey. The filming style flows perfectly with the music and keeps the viewer engaged from beginning to end. It's refreshing to see such an avante-garde short film collaboration with a musical performer. The production quality is excellent and the thematic story is unique & quite interesting. Well done!
Vanna, awesome video. I was the main structural analyst for SpaceShipOne. We're now working on SpaceShip2 for Virgin Galactic. Watching your video gave me goosebumps. Those were magical times. I'm glad you were inspired to put together a beautiful piece of work. Hopefully soon, there will be more to be inspired by. -Dan
i got this DVD at yuri's night, april 2009, at NASA goddard. just watched it tonight. wow !! i had to add it to my youtube favorites. i love these scenes:
[2:09] JUPITER !! this is a WFPC2 image from 1995.
[2:55] the vomit comet. would love to ride one of these flights, which give ~25 sec weightlessness at a time. glad to see that the cadets are partying properly for those 25 sec.
what up. love the organic feel she's got it going on. like building rockets in the back yard. on the video i like how it's not a bunch of production money smoke mostly heart. makes me want to go out there man. the music is like that classic star trek smooth space lounge and psych trance man i love it.
Yes, Von Braun is a big oversight...Even if we say that after Da Vinci it switches to actual fliers, George Loyal should be in there--the first human cannonball.
can see that might tickoff but most music videos don't honor ANY names man. if a saturn v launch doesn't honor werner von braun what would? video of londoners being killed by V-25? ::shrug:: maybe they'll make it into a movie and role more than the 2 minutes of credits already there. lol speaking of did you catch the hidden treat cookie at the very end? bet most people miss it. it's after it's over at the last 5 seconds. anyway i'm going to the stars.
Amazing video. First time I ever felt chills watching a video at youtube. Only the ones who share that dream can give the true value to those sounds and images.
This is one amazing Video! Sure Vanna is so full of talents lol, its amazing her skills with the piano! I like the message of the video, Humans must go to the stars!
What Goes Up is a wonderfully thought provoking and inspirational video. It's obvious that a lot of effort went into the making of it. Kudos to Vanna and Martin!

It was weird in the beginning, but it had a nice finish to it.
