  • the old dude in the back is thinking fuck i need a nap this guy is putting me to sleep

  • maybe these guys have grey hair because there seminar lectures are so damn boring

  • Life extension is good. The religious nutters can turn it down since they wrongly believe in a heaven. They will comitt suicide by denying the Life Extension medicines, and in turn contirbute to Evolution.

The logical humans that are clever and are atheist will accept the treatments and will survive.

Whereas the low IQ humans that cannot think logically and are dumb will die off as they refuse the life-saving technology, wrongly believing they go to a magic land called heaven upon death. LOL!

  • that old guy face was the best.... so old uhdaud

  • lol the old guy in the background is like wtf im not gonna be around for this pill

  • This guy definitely doesn't know a damn about the science behind what he's talking about.

  • Boring. This is not new information.

  • Nu Skin are coming out with a pill that does exactly this by end of 2011 with their new Ageloc technology. This is the company to follow they are going to be the leaders in the Anti Anging industry. So far they have already come up with LOOKING younger and soon their new vitamin launch to FEEL younger, and by 2012 actually BE younger!

  • @WolfgangWalker

Dumb question: Whats "Ageloc technology"? First time I have heard of this.

  • anyone has a link to more info about this or a longer talk.

  • I bet the answer is pot

  • if it works ill take an overdose of resveratrol

  • ah, now i realize what aubrey de greys plan really is; he has already started growing a monster of a beard because, with life extension tech, he will eventually be the human being with the longest beard... EVER

  • Id reather be a faggot retart astart then dead faggot retarts

  • I really like the old man sitting there quietly behind him :)

  • don't listen to the irrational fatalists, they are part of this struggle, but have one good benefit.... they make sure we do not get complacent

Endless time equals endless possibilities we would not get bored =)

  • 'The world is grossly underpopulated with the kind of people who can solve the tough problems leading to human suffering'

  • 700...No problem. = )

  • If you guys find a way of keeping me alive till the 22th+ century (i would be 107 yrs old) then contact me. sh*t, i don't want to get old & die. I want to see the f*cking future even if it's full is crap.

  • Yeah but wouldn't the day to day bullshit get boring as hell after a while i mean like wouldn't like taking a shit get boring after you have been doing it for like 700 years?

  • I'm rather alive and bored than dead.

  • @UltimoLatino i've been taking shits for 26 years and still lovin it!

  • @imarchello I agree! I want to see where we go and what happens. Most of all I would love to live long enough to see religions of all stripes become mythology like all the others in the past have.

  • Lets hope there will be medical breakthroughs in next 20 to 30 years... That's all we can do right now...

  • @imarchello Have you seen the latest studies out about Vitamin D? Very Interesting!

Watch this when you can: If you did not already know just add the following to the end of the YouTube URL. /watch?v=TQ-qekFoi-o

There are many more Vitamin D videos from other Universities if you search YouTube Education under Channels.

  • @SkyDaddy7 that would be so amazing!

  • @SkyDaddy7 Why?

  • @SkyDaddy7 here here!

  • jaja yeah, me too i'm 31 and i look like 17.

  • the secret of longevity is easy, eating less and less sex activity. the more sex you have and reproduce the quicker you age. and when you starve your molecules stop splicing and reproduce themself. actually this is how the extend the life of mice 6 times by genetic modification.

  • you may have a point I don't have sex at all (to disgusting for my stomach) and at age 33 I look like I'm only 13 LOL

  • @danielbooom: if not getting laid is the key to eternal life then im sure the internet is full of immortals

  • hmm

  • Hehe this is some interesting stuff.

I am so excited about this!!!

you know what? screw 100 years, or even 800 years

I want to live for 1000^100^100 + years.

  • nice!!

  • Only a matter of time and then you guys know what???????????????????? ZOMBIES. day of the dead shit and boomers and hunters and smokers and also common infected and before you know it you will all be looking for safe rooms to get into and PILLS HERE ad other shit, and p.s. this guy is fuckedup and also says red wine is his favourite thing? does that make him an alcoholic?

  • Glaxxo bought it so nobody could have it.. not so people COULD have it..

  • This ain't shit. If you want to become physically immortal, just wear Alex Chiu's Immortality Rings. Alex Chiu has already figured out how to stop aging. Other people are all just wasting time.

  • if we live forever, our planet will over populate wont it? we will run out of space and may even lose food resources!

also, it there are pandemics, we are sure to lose many people due to us living close together.

    well thats my opiion :)

  • Overpopulate? Never. The governments will simply ban together and decide who "deserves" to live and who "deserves" to die. The productive comrades ... I mean citizens ... will live. The useless dross (non-aryans ... wait, I mean non productive) will die.

Either that, or draconian birth and food controls will lead to a world dictatorship.

    Wow, those two options rock!

  • will happen cause the government is so corrupted assfuck

unless we bond together and overthrown the government

we can make new laws the lower the birth rate.

  • That is the problem. Since when did the government gain the right to decide when a law-abiding citizen (convicts not included) can have a baby and who can not. That is infringing on a basic human right.

Now, overthrowing the government won't work either. We would only replace it with another one just like it.

The solution: Keep government limited and small. Don't let it gain too much power.

    There's my $.02

  • no, its more of like

new law: max amount of kids 1 can have is 2 and must be age 100 to have babies

    its more like that

some parts of china has a 1 child policy

  • Comment removed

  • The 1 child per family policy has been a disaster for China. What gender do you suppose the "1" child is? What happens to the female children.

I'll give you a hint: there are restaurants that serve fetus. Cannabalism just doesn't work for me.

  • i know 1 child policy is dumb

actrually we shunt even have a policy at all nym changed my mind.

ive noticed that middle class rarely has over 3 children and generally have 1-2

poor families have 4-5+ cause they need work on the farm.

if we can solve poverty and people being poor. like look at africa and poor shitty parts of fukin' china

they need alot of kids to help out. so solving poorness will keep fukin' birth rates from going to god damn high.

  • Your use of language aside, you have the right idea.

If you alleviate poverty, history shows that the birth rate falls. There are booms and busts, of course, but in general, the population levels out..

  • i use swear words to express how strongly i mean something

since'very" and "alot" isnt strong enough

i use like hoodz language ya'll like

"thats mothafukin correct" or 'we will save alot of god damn lives"

  • as in the future, there will be less boomers, as there will be alot more things to enjoy and to create, so u wont be stuck with nothing to do and t hen decide, im gonna have a baby.

  • nope, people will gradulally adapt to having much fewer kids... im not the one who is willing to die so others can have a baby

ofcause this will take alteast 100 years to get used to

and the population will stablize at 15 billion

we will have to find alternative ways to live. such as oceanic cities, living in 100 story buildings and eventually super structures such as mega city pyrmid.

its said 20 years ago the average birth rate was much higher and ppl have babies at age 20-30

  • The earth cannot support 15 billion people.

As we near 10 billion, most lands will fail in their ability to support their massive numbers. Millions will starve or die in wars over a few plots of good farm land.

Look at Somalia if you want to know what it will look like.

  • yes well like i said

if we can construct mega structures or even have people live in 1000+ ft tall buildings and maybe even mega structures like "sky city" with farms inside them and run on clean renewables, and add floating oceans

earth can hold over 15 billion

with current technologies, people just have to have large lands. we cant

i remember reading that if we were only as effecient as we were 100 years ago, earth can hold max 3.7 bill. back then u need lots of land to be healthy.

  • First up, we are nowhere near 10 billion, nearest estimate puts us at just under 7 billion as of now. Secondly there is more than enough resources to support whats here and more, somalia is in the state its in now because oil comapnies polluted the land they lived on so now they have nothing and rely on oil money and imports. New technology allows farming in the sahara desert, genetically modified crops means more crops in more places if we want it, but no one is doing anything about it.

  • 6.8 billion is an accurate estimate.

I wasn't stating the cause of Somali violence. I was showing what happens with a people become so starved for resources that they turn violent.

  • good comment droz

  • Malthus was wrong, he was a self-loathing tool of the establishment. Look at the Corn Laws he advocated.

  • now its 36-45 as life expectancies grow.

if we cure aging this is how it might work:

in 2030 the genetic repairation will grow to 30% life expectancys reach 110 or 120. people will have kids at age 50s-60s but it dont stop there god dammet.

by 2150 life expectacies DOUBLE now we will have kids at age 70s-80s... we will at the mean time find the cure to poverty aswell so poor families dont need so many kids to help out.

  • My theory is that if we do not implode, destroy ourselves, or other wise come to an end, we will colonize Mars.

Yes, the soil is very alkaline, but it can support many kinds of plants. Plus, we can always fix that problem if we need to grow other stuff.

Inside massive (inflated) shelters, humans could have an almost earth-like existence with grass, trees, fresh veggies, and yet still be pioneers of the future, exploring and learning and planning to explore yet another world.

  • well theres a way to extract alkaline... ive favorited a vid on my damn channel. its ways to purify water.

  • oh yea u use nano technology, u mix some kind of food oil with nano rust

that rust will fuse with the alkaline. then use a magnite to remove the rust. the rust will carry all the alkline with it

  • I'm thinking... hydroponics.

  • ffs soz i ment 2050 my mistake

  • Now that they're working on this I think the two biggest things to work on are reverse aging and halting aging for a long time span (years perhaps).

  • The end of aging is clearly on the horizon. The question is: Will you make it or will you be in the last generation that has to die. It would be like being killed on the last day of a long war.

If you can make it to the first significant life extension chances are you will make it to the next and the next and so on.

  • I really hope I will make it. I am 21 and am leading a very healthy lifestyle. I hope all goes by the plan and I get my immortality pill :D

  • The chanse is you will get killed in a car accident though ^^

And they will go like "Hey look at this dude he whould probably have lived to his 90s but he got screwed by a ford sierra" ;D

  • That's why I'm really careful lol

  • I'm 18 years old, chances are I'll make it.

    However, do I want to?

I have scoliosis and chronic depression, if I don't get rid of my problems do I want to live forever?

  • Sooner or later we will have a cure all physical and mental disorders. I would be surprised if there will be chronically unhappy people in the 22nd century.

  • yes you must....You are a valuable human being...and if they are able to pull this off, i am sure you can have a cure for scoliosis and chronic depression

  • Comment removed

  • Asking this question makes me feel stupid because I ought to know but what is scoliosis?

  • My spine is curved.

For some people it can be painful, for me my back just hurts if I move around too much.

  • @gucker07 said "The end of aging is clearly on the horizon. The question is:Will you make it or will you be the last generation that has to die. It would be like being killed on the last day of a long war."

You got that right! I'm praying either drugs like this or nanotechnology or genetic research will be the ultimate break through in immortality. Time is an essence for our generation. Dont be the last to die!

  • @1NX9 you just depressed me like fuck!!!.....Not to say that I am a very old guy. I am 21.

  • fuck 100 years or 1000 years i want live to 1000*10^1000.

  • damn straight

  • me too...lol...another spin is ingesting small amounts of heavy water...which is also known to slow the metabolism in human and in small quantity is not lethal.

  • think of how many damn new kids will populate the earth, or maybe the complete opposite, and there would be a great reduction.

  • from a molecular biologist grad student:

biochemical reasons for aging are known, ways to manipulate those reasons are available, this is a practical crutch till other, more advanced technologies are available, which are coming soon. If you are below age of 40 at the moment expect to live, if you so desire, into your 500s. This is not fantasy, it is fact. Please do not take my word for it spend some time on pubmed :)

  • True! Before this technology they thought that medicin against free radicals and a strict diet could elongate life, which may be true, but now they have found, what they believe to be, the "aging" gene. Lot of ethics to discuss about this matter and I think serious religious conflicts would arise if scientists find a way to play God.

  • This would be a wonderful thing for so many people. If you don't beleive me go pay a visit to your local nursing home. It would be great to be able to help so many people live better and longer. I hope this happens sooner rather than later.

  • ok... so maybe I can live until 96 instead of 80?

  • resveratrol, what a sexy name haha

  • lol

  • Think of all the things you could accomplish with a 150 yrs, I would practice Martial arts maybe One day I could turn into a Super Saiyain, Or an Incredible Ninja.

  • or if einstein were still alive... what if our modern geniuses live until 150 - and by then something allows them to live until 300... :)

  • Spooky...

  • so well live till 150 years bleh

  • if it went right or almost perfect.... you would live to 150 but not look the part

  • yes if you lived away from stress, on a faraway island (a small one, one without predators or deadly bacterias) and you grew your own food then maybe

  • well if u didnt listen to him.... theres a pill being made or alredy made that keeps a person healthier though out the years.

  • lef(.)org

  • This is potentially very dangerous - this drug, it does what it is supposed to do, could be abused in all sorts of ways.

  • I think its a risk willing to take.

  • Do you think Glaxo Smith Kline will do anything but aim to profit from it? I doubt that there could be some horrendous 'abuse' - and I'm not sure what blackiron60 has in mind actually - but I can confidently predict it won't be equally distributed or available.

  • I'd go so far as to speculate that things like this are already readily available to those who possess large amounts of wealth and great amounts of power.

Seems like the "egghead elite" live a bit too long to be natural...

  • Then you take it!!

  • Longevity Escape Velocity, google it.

  • YES!!!!!!
