I also got mine fixed by just buying cheap component cables, now it all works great

I have had mine for about a month and it has worked fine until last night. i had the same problem, but fixed it. It is the junky cables it comes with. i just switched mine around so the ones that were going into the pvr are now in the tv and the ones in the tv are now in the pvr. The best solution is to go buy some new component cables. good luck!

Same thing used to happen to me, close your recording software twice ( mine is Arcsoft capture module ) , and take the power cable out of your hauppauge hd pvr, open up your capture module on your computer, wait 5 seconds, plug your power cable back into your hd pvr and turn the power on ;)

whys the colours messed up in mine and so is the screen it got smaller writing but when i got 576p or whatever it is it goes back to the normal screen also i have no audio people were saying in the reviews its easy to setup but mine is messed please help

I sort of found a way to get around this problem, every time I hook it up to my mac, the lights start flashing on the pvr, I switch it off, then back on, it fails again, then I restart the pvr again and it works.. I have to do that EVERY TIME. Not very convenient, huh ?

One problem a lot of Hauppauge users (Myself included) had with EyeTV was solved by upgrading to 3.5 software.

@ToPiiCsHD Give us some more information. In my case, I had to go through 3 HD PVR units at Best Buy before it finally worked. Make sure your eyeTV is all up to date with the latest software version and if it is and you're still not seeing anything, well, I hope you still have that receipt laying around.

@oOGridlockOo Yes, it's working! I had to return and exchange it to Best Buy 3 times. It was a faulty unit. It's all up and running. You can check out the results on my SpawnTrapPodcast channel. Just search for that.
