Most of the photos of Japan are from Worswick collection taken by Felice Beato during his stay in Japan 1863 - 1880. The photos of Korea seems from Willard Dickerman Straight collection. Willard visited Korea first time in 1904.
Why some Japanese are not yet ENLIGHTENED yet. It seems some of them still think "killing other human beings is right?"??? Please be enlightened! If not, Japan will never be a cultured and civilised country.
If so, Japan will maintain "Monkey-mentality."
I hope they will see the truth and find out what is wright and wrong. Killing is evil(I hope they know now...). We the Westerners must educate some Japanese again about Morality, Ethics, and Culture.
I am shocked that there are still babarian Japanese in Japan. I am British and want to see fairly and critically. These pics are all in the ear when Japan was opened(whored to the West) and accepted the technology from the West while Korea was closed. The simple(laughable) comparison makes me laugh and, at the same time, shocked the narrowed-minded Japanese mentality(Inferior complex or Monkey complex).

A country like England was always more technologically advanced than Japan until after WWII. Remember the Japanese were using swords while the rest of the world was using guns.

The first Edo panorama is Bakumatsu.
Most of the pictures are from Bakumatsu to early Meiji.
The girl archers picture looks newer that that.
