(continued) for them. I personally would LOVE if you did a review on Neutrogena Healthy Skin, as I am thinking about getting it but Im not sure if it would be great for my dry skin.
3) I love Mandy, but it would be cool if you used models with different skin types so we can see how the makeup works on them. As I see someone else mentioned, maybe do a video on different face shapes/colors and how products look with them.
I hope you consider some of these! =) (By the way Im 16)
I would like to say beforehand that I love your channel and your tips have helped me SIGNIFICANTLY in the past few weeks. But I do have some requests :)
1) I would like to see some tips for dry, flaky skin, and how you would recommend to put foundation on it. I never really see gurus go in-depth about that, and Im sure you have a lot of tips :)
2) It would be awesome if you could do reviews for drugstore products (foundations to be specific) so people who are on a budget can know whats right...
I just found your channel and love it. I just want to say THANK U for constantly mentioning what does and does not work for women of color because a lot of people say oh this works for everyone and it does NOT. I really appreciate it. I think a black would really make the colors pop and I would love 2see tutorials on models with different complexions, face and eye shape. If you could do a tutorial about how lipstick varies on people with different lip pigmentation and how 2make more colors work!
You may have already addressed some of my below (still looking through channel), but it would be amazing if you did different colored woman. I would like reviews on brushs with good brushs that are cheap, med, and high priced. Favorite foundation's for oily skin, dry skin, and normal. How to blend your neck, but set it so it doesn't get on your shirt. Best moisturizer for oily, dry, normal skin. Tips to save money on makeup, little secrets. I'm sure I'll think of more.
it would be really good if you could do different tutorials which use a range of models with different eye shapes, face shapes, skin tones, ages, etc. so that everyone can benefit. For example, i am half chinese but have olive skin tone, so whilst a tutorial for chinese eyes would help, the skin tone of a chinese person is too light, etc :) x p.s love your channel!
1) I'd like to see a tutorial on brush care, cleaning and maintenance; if there's differences between cleaning/care of a synthetic vs. a natural brush; and if there's differences between using synthetic or natural when applying different types of makeup (liquid/cake/powder); when to use a sponge rather than a brush. 2) I'd also like to see a tutorial on how long cosmetics last; should they be replaced after a certain period of time and why; can they be revived or salvaged, etc.
I would just adore that you use a latin model :) everybody says you should use an african american model but you would be going from whit mandy to african american... there wouldnt be any between kind of make up for us who are stuck in the middle :( well just my opinion ;)
Though I am new to your channel I have already gained some awesome new techniqes(not that I had any good one's before). I'm very interested in the best Face/Neck moisturizer's as well as the do's and dont's to caring for your skin. Women in their mid-40's are just starting to get their life's back and coming into their own, I know I am, and I need all the help I can get from beginning to end of the make-up process.
If you need some ideas and have the knowlegde, would you please share what lighting is generally most flattering and honest to the color of makeup i.e. What is a general rule in studios, shoots? Ive tried loads of light bulbs and different wattage and done my makeup in a way i love, just to find it looks totally different in a diff room. I would rather just know the standard of honesty and use that always or w a dimmer etc.. Sorry that was so long, thankyou so much. X
i have oily skin and i would love to see a video just for oily skin. maybe you already did it or not but videos titled 'for oily skins' would be great
Ermm i think you should do more comparisons between makeup and brushes! Also maybe a few tutorials on indian skin toned makeup tutorials as my background is from kinda india kinda bangladesh you know so some tutorials for the indians also how to do things like the really basics maybe:) hope that helped!
Reviews/hauls of brushes: can you do each side of the face with 2 different brands so we can actually see the difference? For example: comparing Hakuhodo blush brush with the Tom Ford, etc.
Tutorial for quick flawless, natural look skin for daily routine. Cause I dont have the time at 6am in the morning to apply all the layers :))
Women of color! Please please pleaaassseee do make up tutorials/design/tips on women of color; from medium to dark skin. You would somehow be even more my favorite than you already are. ^^;; Also, the question of swatches; your reviews right now are nice in that they're quick and to the point - but they're a little too quick. If you could make them a little longer, and when applicable, give us swatches - maybe insert a still picture so we get a good idea of the color, that would be good!
Probably you know about the brazils giant public that loves makeup... What do you think about translations on your videos? If it sounds nice, contact me
I would like to see Dos and donts for diffrent age ranges. How to cover up redness from Rosacea. How to adjust you eyeshadow to your eyeshape. Geat books to read of your clueless, I prefer Kevyn Aucoin's books... and maybe a everyday look super easy..
a vote for the black background, and I love the background mirror also. Corrective makeup for age spots, broken capillaries, and purple scarring. any tips for whiter eye whites? (sounds odd) applying mineral foundations. how to use an airbrush... lip care...many suffer from dry cracked lips in the winter months. An essential personal travel kit for vacay. Oh, and the glasses wearer makeup tips sounds cool
I would love for you to have a black backround. Would like you to post a video on Mascara, which one is best and how to apply without looking cakey, and which brand really makes them extend. ..indicate whether its best to use false or go with your real one. I am blind from one eye and I have a hard time putting the false one on because I can see the inner line of my right eye. Thanks for all the great tips, they are greatly appreciated.
Will take your advice on the background. I would love to see you do make up for women who wear glasses. Anything you do is great and I love all the tips you give as you go. Keep up the good work.
I haven't gone through all your videos, yet, but I could definitely use some more eye shadow help! Every time i try to use the stuff it just never looks right and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong :( I LOVE your videos and have learned so much from them already, but I am really a make up noob and could use your help, please :) Then again, you might already have a lot of videos up that would help me and I may not have gotten to them yet...
i think the black background is a good idea. also showing how to apply makeup on others is great, but i really enjoy watching you put eye makeup on yourself because i am not an aspiring MUA i just want to learn ways i can apply products on myself.
I love your videos and I think they're one of the best around. I like it that they're succinct and straight to the point without too much yapping. You've got the formula just right. I also like the bloopers at the end of some of your videos. Those are always such a laugh! Tutorials on a variety of models would be great, esp if the models are real people with real skin or makeup issues like acne, hooded eyes, asian skin tone, etc.
I can't believe I just stumbled across your channel! Wow I love it! Thank you so much for sharing your craft & tips. I have found so many helpful tips in an hour of watching your videos than watching other channels for over a year. I am so appreciative of you sharing. And you are so genuine & humble. Thank you so much from one enthusiast to another. Best wishes :)
I saw in a video that you applied fake lashes with crystals on them. If you apply mascara afterwards, wouldn't the mascara get all over the crystals? I'd like a demonstration on this because I was wondering about it. Thank you for the videos.
I love your channel and I was wondering, if you could do a clip about using certain colours depending on your eye colour. I have really dark blue eyes and I’m sick of using browns to compliment my eyes, is there anything else I can use to make them pop?
Hi goss, i would love to know how i can apply my lipstick without it going dry and leaving that white dryness? Especially with mac lipsticks, thankss! Love your videos
I am African American with combination skin & I love the tips you offer for various skin tones & types. Also like that your vids are short & to the point. Thank you!
I have just stumbled across you, and watched as many videos of yours as I can, I think you are brilliant, and have an amazing manner, you have addressed so many issues I have being a women of a darker colour, but none that matches any foundation perfectly (a never ending quest!! Even with the likes of MAC and Dior) Keep doing what you are doing, you must be doing something right, only channel that inspired me to subscribe. If get my wish (rubs on genie lamp furiously)you will do my make up!! :)
Please please please do a bridal tutorial. I am getting married in October and my Fiancé insists on me doing my own BC he loves the way I do it but I want to look perfect to him. I am African American so tips In the video foe deeper shades will be appreciated! Thanks!!!
Hey wayne i just started following you and think your amazing. Most of the makeup tutorials are by normal girls and i love the fact that you are a real makeup artist with techniques and trick from the industry. I would love to know how to apply makeup for photographs, and videos. I think it would be great to do tutorials on models of different races, shape and eye sizes and skin tones. i am an aspiring makeup artist and your channel just make me so motivated to learn as much as i can.
i dont think full face tutorials are really necessary, you can demonstrate the technique in one area of your face.like you've done before in the blackhead video.even if its something your viewers want if your not really comfortable with full face makeup, your not really gonna be yourself in the video and thats one of the things that make your vids a pleasure to watch.if your viewers truly appreciate your vids they wont ask you to do things you dont enjoy.
Definitely more tutorials. maybe some kind of guide to how to apply makeup? it might draw more viewers and would be informative in case people have been applying makeup incorrectly. so like how one should sweep the brush, how much pressure, etc.
When you're reviewing, I definitely want to see swatches, they really help to see pigmentation on items and how much one might need to use, etc.
Just recently discovered you and think your videos are fabulous! My vote goes to the black background, I like to see the colors purely. I'd like to hear about which makeup remover(s) you think are best and about skin care products in general. As a front 'man' for a rock band, I'd like to know how to do my face for stage that looks good in colored lights as well as flash photography. Would so love to be a model for you but the UK is a fair ways from Oklahoma! Thanks for all the info.
Hi! I'm a new subscriber and I think you are fantastic. I think you instruct well and really save makeup wearers from overdoing or just making the wrong preparation. You are direct, smart, funny, and very nice. Anyways I have a blackhead problem. Is there a foundation routine that can help me cover it up? Primer does not work for me in my nose blackhead area
more: 3. Makeup tuutorials on medium to dark complexions. 4. Camouflaging problem areas like noses, droopy eyelids, puffy eyes, etc. 5. Seasonal or Annual review of makeup trends and palettes.
I'm new to your channel and I dont know what rock I was under before this. Your channel is wonderful and so informative. I personally woild love to see videos on Bridal makeup application tips
I really appreciate how considerate you are- to people with different skin tones, to men who wear makeup - to people in general. It makes me enjoy watching you even more.
i just recently saw ur channel n went thru many of your video, doing a gr8 job i found the techniques amazingly helpful n would love to learn more of that.i am kind of learning it as a student as well because i love to do makeup not on me but on oder ppl so i would love every bit of detail knowledge u can give,White background is what i will suggest because it will keep things more clear for us to c and secondly i have a request on tutorial on how to hide dark circles by make up ...BEST OF LUCK
About a week ago I have found your channel and thank you so much for your videos. You put so much soul and effort in them. Make up isn't there to cover, but to underline everyones unique beauty - that is what I have learned of you(r channel) so far.
First: black background; Second: Is there anything you can change about the sound? there is a echo; Third: You are doing an amazing job - love the little secret tips!; Fourth: Make up for different type of woman maybe even on a model?
Hi Wayne, I really like the back-ground the way it is and maybe it would be nice to see more techniques. I feel like your one the only make-up artists that can explain all the stuff and I really like to learn more about the real basic techniques.. It would also be nice if you would do your 'top 5 ...of all time' in drugstore version though I know that they won't be the 'best' but we can't all afford to buy all the high end products :)
Wayne!! U r THE BEST makeup guru ever!! All ur pointers n tricks r unique n veryyyyy practical !! I wud love fr u to get hold of someone with REAL dark circles n show us how to cover em up wit correctors, dis way it vl b easier fr us to follow n I m sure many ppl out der wud benefit frm dis, u absolutely must do dis plzzzzz!!
I am age 65 and would like to learn how to conceal my age spots. I also, use Merle Norman makeup (full coverage) and while having foundation matched to my skin they would not place it in the under eye area as I have wrinkles, age spots, and a few freckles in this area. My question would you use foundation under neat the eyes and on the upper eye lid (I'm really confused about this). I sure would appreciate your help and would love to see models with some of these problems. Thank you.
Hi Wayne. I really can't complain or suggest anything, since I truly like your vidoes. I love how its direct, honest, and informative. Also, how you have such a wide variety on the products you use/mention. Just keep up what you're doing, and good luck!
I am no good with suggestions because I have started to see your videos a few days ago. I just like you the way you are, you are a wonderfull person and you are quite good with make up, of course... well, quite good? NO! You are a true artist. Keep going on like this!!
Greetings from Greece :). Great channel, keep up the good work and right spirit.
Here are my ideas:
some tips about stage make up for dancers would be great. Areas like dim lights, sweating and flashlight! Surely there is smth new to learn from you...
Also quick tutorial how to contour face that has "sink in cheeks" (not sure if it is understandable) cause they tend to create lot of shadows....
Wayne, you are an outstanding makeup artist! Love your videos. I myself am fresh out of cosmetology school and want to eventually be a free lance makeup artist. I am a 21 year old male and I would love some tips and pointers from the business aspect too.
Hi Wayne ! I really do love your channel, very usefull, very inspiring ! I'd like to see more makeup tutorials for hooded eyes (like me) ! Also, i have combination skin and i'm tired of having a complete mate finish, i'd appreciate advice on how to get a glowy finish without looking like fried chicken...? :) Thank you and take care !
I think you should go with a black background, I believe the white background reflects too much light and it makes the skin look very pale and the products that you put on the face get lost with so much light reflection. I've seen other videos from other make up artist that have white backgrounds and I find it hard to see the colors specially blush and some eyeshadows.
Ok I'm going to be honest with you.... I think you are the best make up artist I Have ever seen. And I think your reviews are really helpful and I like them the way the are, I do think you should go with the black camera. That's my opinion... :)
How about discussion of Kett fixx creme color swatch and discussion. I find it challenging to find the right color match for a fair Asian with cool olive tone
I'd love to see a video of a woman (all ages, colors, shapes) putting a full face of make-up on (her normal every day routine). When she's done, you point out ways that would make her make-up even better. I am sure her "mistakes" (really, just lack of knowledge) are done by a lot of people so we could all learn.
NIce of you to ask us for suggestions! I thinkI've already mentioned that a few more tips on aging skin would be nice and though I understand your preference for working on yourself, models of differents ethnicities and skin tones within them would be nice (sort of like a series of Asian women, Black women, White women (red heds, pale skin, oval)).
Hi Wayne...love all your makeup tips, tutorials and all the honesty involved. My suggestion would be to keep up the good work and don't stress yourself! A tutorial on mineral foundation/makeup would be great. Have you heard of Sheer Cover? What do you think of it? Is it worth the money? In Austria, they sell the beginners kit for 68€ (57 pounds). Also did u do "facercise", from Carole Di Maggio. Did it work? I'm thinking of trying it, but would like a professional opinion.Take care and God bless
FYI-I found that castile soap is the best brush cleaner. Because it's oil base, it cleans foundation brushes like no other. I use Dr Bronner's Castile or Dr Wood's Black soap which I also use for face and body- it's petroleum and paraben free and non drying. Simply fantastic!!
I'm interested in Gerda Spillmann biofond foundation, would you do a review? Please Please
I don't know if you've done anything like this before because my phone only allows me to go back so far and I just found you today, (love everything I've seen) but could you do individual videos for different skin tones of what "essentials" we should have in our collection please?
I love when you review your latest hauls (reviewing multiple products in one video). Most of the time I can't keep up with what's new in the make-up world but love to get informed. Especially from you, since you are thorough and to the point. It also makes me more confident when approaching a cosmetics counter when I have my "Goss Notes" in hand. Keep the product reviews coming. <3
While Id love to see you in longer vids, I appreciate your straight forward, thorough yet relatively short ones. When it comes to reviews, swatches & immediate results are okay but Im more interested in how things perform long term.
Makeup for photography. I'm an aspiring makeup artist, I really want to do makeup for advertising (or just any type of makeup you see on photographs especially magazines), but my biggest issue is how makeup looks 1 way off camera compared to on camera. I know it has to do w/ the light, tones, camera, etc. So I'd just REALLY appreciate some advice on that. Also, more variety of women for makeup tutorials. I'd really love to see makeup on a very pale skinned woman as well as dark. ex: Alex Wok.
I'd like to see a tutorial for the smoky eye on asian/almond eyes from the book you showed us. Also, lips. I think i have decent lips but I never know how to put gloss/ lipstick on properly; I'm not sure if I'm lining them properly, whether I went over my lip line or not far enough etc. Thank you!
one small question... i've got green eyes and red and pink eyeshadows should make my eyes look even greener - but instedad, i look like a rabbit or a rabbit with a rush ;-( how to use red eyeshadow? :-)
I am clinging to you this year.. I am going to become a make-up artist (and stylist) starting the course the 28.01 and done in June .. so I need all the help I can get! So I am going to follow you like its the other half of my training ^.^ so that gives you an idea of what I want to see.
I will absolutely love if you did a review/tutorial on airbrush makeup. I couldn't find anyone on here that really used it correctly and made me want to buy it. So please, that will be amazing and appreciated. Also it will be nice to show different skin tones and average looking people because it helps me personally to feel that it's achievable as well as believable if someone with normal skin can achieve that look then so can I. AND YOU ARE AMAZING
I am very fair with pink undertones which is very difficult to correct. So I'd like to see more on correcting, age spots, acne spots, melasma, discoloration, etc. on fair skin tones as well as on darker tones for our friends on the other end of the color spectrum. Also, about the full face tutorials, whatever makes you comfortable. I think we get the idea of what you are trying to create ;-). Thank you for all your tips, ideas, tutorials, reviews and uplifting messages. Happy New Year!
I would love advices about color coordination (colors themselves and also according to the eye color, skin tone, hair color) and videos like full makeup with minimal products (several uses for the same product). And please keep up with your "breaking the common misconceptions abt makeup" videos I love them!
Watching your videos i noticed that you care about skin problems such as enlarged pores and give tips on how to cover them. Which is a major plus because not a lot of people's skin are flawless. However you do not spend time on darker skin tones such as (NC 50-and below). I always notice that people have the most difficult time finding out their correct makeup shade and proper blush to bring out a healthy glow. So maybe a video on just foundation and colors may help.
[C] to use them. How and What should I be using to apply them onto my skin? I have oily skin and visibly enough pores on my cheeks, is this a product that I should be using? Please do a tutorial on this! Review on new products, LOVE watching those, being drugstore brands or designers. Oh!, something I'm also interested in seeing is BRIDAL makeup, just because you've mentioned you tend to break away from the traditional look of brides. And finally, keep the GIVE AWAYS coming..
[B] I'm gonna hate seeing it go, but, if it will make the colour palettes more vivid then I guess the switch is for good. For the different EYEshadow looks, it would be great to see a partial look as well as a zoom-in, to really appreciate all that gorgeous work you do. These are my fav. videos to watch over and over again, so please, keep posting them! I'd like you to address the application of CREAM blushes, whenever I have tried to work with them it has been so messy that I am discouraged..
Hello Wayne, I recently found you and subscribed to your makeup channel, and let me tell you I cannot get enough of all your tutorial sessions. You must be such a kind soul to share all of these goodness with us!! Your professionalism and honesty are to be admired. Ok, comments: I enjoy your current background, the french windows, the natural light, the mirror, it's all very soothing to the eye....
Definitely do tutorials with different types of eyes (almond eyes, close-set eyes, down-turned eyes, hooded eyes, deep set eyes, protruding eyes, and monolids). My eyetype is deep-set eyes with quite small lids, so it's really hard to get that 'SAME' look like those we usually see in ads, etc..
SO please do tricks & play with colors with each particular eye-type (ESP. with deep-set eyes) .
Thank you so much for making this happen abt us, we really appreciate it!
4 Love to see more of 'many uses for one make up item tips' & more of the shirtless tutorials :P (kidding about the shirtless part because it would be so distracting) Talking about distracting, when u wear make up on ur eyes or eye to show us. It is an uncommon thing to see, so it is difficult to focus on the make up & the techniques used so it is counterproductive.
2 Different skin colours & ethnicity, brilliant idea!
3 Different techniques of skin correction, variety of tools used for make up & explanation of how to use those tools is what I like the best about ur channel, learned a lot from u in just one day as I just stumbled on to ur channel. seen so many videos in 1 evening!
I enjoy watching your videos and have learned a lot. Thanks so much. Please keep them coming.
Don't get me wrong, I love you, but I love Mandy too. She's such a cute lady. Would you do more videos with her, tell us more about her, or maybe ask her to do her own makeup in front of the camera using the techniques you have been showing in your videos? Just want to know more about Mandy :)
I would love to see demonstration on Asian ladies, esp one with hooded eyes/monolids? Thanks.
1. Black background or white is fine for me, but a natural light alternative would be great too.
2. Provide a place where we can post requests for videos, perhaps with categories and sub-categories e.g. tutorials, reviews (high end, drug store, face, lips, eyes, etc.)
3. Do polls with video ideas, so we can vote for the ones we want to see the most or something like that?
Love that you are asking us - thank you! {{{HUGS}}}
Hi Wayne, Happy New Year! I think you should go with the Black background it would look great and be less distracting. Also, I would like to see makeup tips for over 40 or even a demonstration on a model or two with different skin types and issues to combat/coverup. (Covering up discoloration, how to minimize the look of wrinkles around the eyes, best makeup products for aging skin) Thanks! xx
SUGGESTIONS: 1. BLACK BACKGROUND 2. CONSTANTLY MAINTAINING CURRENT VIDEOS IS GREAT, (Hard work. As you said. people, makeup and techniques are always evolving, and if you are constantly "playing" with makeup and are always seeking better ways to apply or trying new makeup etc etc etc, this is extremely difficult) 2. SOMEHOW KEEPING THE OLDER VERSION would be nice, there may be that one thing that one may need to go back to b/c it worked so well and is not included in the new video.
3. AT THE END OF A VIDEO SHOW A FULL 360 ROTATION, this would help to be able to see how the lighting works with the makeup look as you are in movement, moving, walking, etc? 4.Maybe showing an outside picture of you with the makeup look, at the end of the video. 5. How to apply the same looks in different seasons. 6. RECOMMENDATIONS in becoming a makeup artist 7.HOW TO USE ONE MAKEUP PRODUCT IN MORE THAN ONE WAY.
8.SHOW ONE MAKEUP LOOK ON TWO PEOPLE OF DIFFERENT ETHNICITIES, AGES(example 20 VS 45), or even hair color, ACTUALLY SHOWING THE DIFFERENCE, some ppl may think they cannot pull off a look, but actually seeing the look on different colors of skin, with different hair color and/or ages in front of them may give them that one little "push" to trying something new.
You are absolutely the best, you will never know truly how much everyone appreciates your passion for the industry, people and the wanting to share your knowledge, thank you so much.
plz plz plz try to LOOK into the camera lens and NOT the small screen, thats what I really missed in all your (excellent and inspiring) videos. Well, it wouldn't help with qualitiy (excellent too) or content, but would make us feel more like there is a comunication. Hugs from Germany
I vote for white background. Reviews of drugstore brands. Tips for the older woman. I am 42 and I look for tips to keep me from looking dated-so easy to get stuck in our ways. But I don't often buy a lot of makeup other than mascara and foundation because why? How many black eyeliners does a person need? I just want to know fresh ways to use the fave's I have . Great video demos. I have learned how to better use my brushes from watching you. Thanks!
Hi Wayne, thank you so much for all your vdos. They are very very useful. I'm a newbie at putting make up on and i think i sort of have an idea of how to apply them all. My next problem is choosing the right color for me. Would u please give some tips of how to choose good colors (of foundations, eye shadows, blush) for different skin tones (and for different occasions, i.e. to work, natural look, party, etc.)? and again..thank u for all your vdos. absolutely helpful!
Hi Wayne, I'd love to see a review of airbrush products and a tutorial - I think most of us out here are amateurs and not makeup artists but would love to learn the techniques to use on our own faces everyday. Thanks.
Please show me how not to look over powdered .. My skin is dry I want a nice dewy look I looked through all yer vids but you only have them for oily skin people .. You should make one for dry skin people:) thanks!
it would be wonderful if you could give personalised tips. I don't know... maybe you could pick 5 of your subscribers monthly and give them personalised advice :)
Hi Wayne, could you please do a tutorial for covering age spots on the face and hands? Something that would last all day for work? I love your channel, and have incorporated so many of your tips I am starting to get comments on my makeup! Thank you for helping me look better!
Happy new year!! Can please do a tutorial for people with red hair, spots, a yellowish skin tone and dark brown eyes? I don't want to cower my spots, but I want a nice makeup. Thank you.
I for one would love to see more skincare tips and skincare product reviews. I love makeup and all, but we have to take it off sometime and healthy skin is also important!
I love your channel Wayne - thank you for making such wonderful videos. You are very talented, and I find your tips and techniques very valuable. I love to hear about the products that you are a fan of - as I find myself seeking those out when I'm shopping. I look forward to the black background and to the zooming out for the makeup tutorials so that we can really appreciate the look. I can't wait to see the drag video!
Maybe do makeup on a model.. or different models if it's not too hard. so we see how you do makeup for different types of people. btw.. love your channel. you get straight to the point.. know what you're talking about and not annoying like others. keep it up!
How about a fab competition where the winner gets to have their makeup done by you and pick up some personalised hints, tips and products. Think that might be a bit popular !!!!!!
I would like you to review more products for all skin tones. Why? Because I value your opinion and I trust that if you say a product is terrible, then it truly must be terrible. Besides I have big problems with finding the right products for my skin, so more reviews would be very appreciated.
Personal lighting- which type of light is best for your personal makeup space. I have a lighted makeup mirror but it's not quite right. I'd love to hear your thoughts on best light at home.
On powders- I keep trying veils and even mix my own, but my skin at 50 looks older when it's completely matte. Ideas? I'm inclined to just leave it off. Mixing your own makeup- what combination of ingredients would you use?
Just came across your site about covering acne. Although I don't have acne marks I figured if you could do that you could show something for dark circles. Also just a review of some of the products you've come across that you like. Perhaps spring makeup trend tutorial. I look forward to seeing what you do. :)
I just recently found your channel and I love it!!! I was wondering if you could help me, or give me some advice. I have large pores and I hate it! Every time I wear cover up or foundation it just makes them more noticeable, but even without makeup it's easy to see them. Please help!!!
I'd love to see more about techniques. Maybe a "What Am I Doing Wrong?" segment where people can send videos of themselves applying makeup or just telling you what problems they have and you can do a video with instructions on what they did wrong and/or how to fix it.
Hi Wayne, so nice that you really care this much about us! Yes please move back after a tutorial so we can see the whole face just to get a better idea. Personally, I'd love more tutorials on deeper skinned and younger models if possible! Also keep doing your quick tip videos, they are so useful! Thanks a bunch!
Still waiting for a look into your skin care regime as regards to the use of AHA, BHA and Retin A, how often do you use them and how do they work in combination, ie using Retin A at night then BHA the following day, and do they fit into using alongside the Clarisonic. I know everyone is different, but I think it would be very helpful as there aren't too many Retin A guides or reviews here on you tube. I have an oily acne prone aging skin so it would be very helpful to me! Thanks!
Fourth, don't be afraid to revisit or reshoot some of those favorite tips, reviews, and demos. Products change and looks evolve with the addition of new products. We would love to see you do them again.
Fifth, review stuff you don't use as a professional. I would value your opinion on more drugstore and neglected international brands.
Finally, (really) try filming yourself out on a job...that would certainly be deliciously voyeuristic!
Third, I agree with others in using more models or different ages, skintypes, and eye shapes.
We know thay most u-tubers like to record when they have free time and models are hard to schedule but this will make you stand out as a professional. Whilst you have beautiful eyes it is difficult for me to imagine the effects you create as your brows and eyelid skin texture are so drastically different to mine. Maybe you could just shoot an entire day with each one and do a couple dozen looks?
GREAT I get to be opinionated without a troll bashing!
First, I think an infinite white background would be best as white is fresh and black is too nighttime. While HD will improve the color rendition it will still be only as good as the monitor of the viewer. Maybe you could use white for reviews and black for demos?
Second, more swatches we all love swatches photographed and then inserted rather than having to go to the blog--sorry about pain in the ass editing.
First of all, thank you for your devotion and the time. I love your channel, your humor and your honesty...at least I think you are;o)
Looking forward to the drag make up (they do know the tricks of the trade) but there's something I would LOVE seeing, that I haven't seen a lot of:
More make up on different varieties of people. More mature skin videos. I love the mature skin make up pics in Rae Morris' books, but...those are pretty lucky mature ladies;o) If you know what I mean.
One thing I miss is high resolution pictures of the end result of tutorials and the inspirations as well. This would be great for us to do the looks ourselves.
I'd love to see more 'technique' videos; the tips I've picked up from you have really changed the way I do makeup. Recently, I was having brunch with a friend and our waitress commented on how lovely and flawless my skin was; I'd used your 'roll' technique with my powder. And keep in mind, I had terrible acne from about 14-22-bad enough that I was on Accutane for 3 years. You are an amazing teacher and I look forward to seeing what new things you come up with!
I want to thank you before all!You are really helpful to me!I coudn t pay to go to the makeup artists school(because of the money and because of having little child)...so you make somehow my dream come true :) Thank you! I would love to see more make up make up tutorials like 50s make up,60s,70s.Also i ll be glad if you could give me some tips about eyeshadows and colors which fit to really dark brown eyes :) thank you in advance
your videos are awesome i have learned a lot from you. your are the best i would like to see if you can do videos about how to match eyeshadows its hard to me to match the eyeshadows if you can explain about the color wheel it would be awesome i have watched other videos about the color wheel but to be honest i feel more confused =( i hope you can help me with that =D
I think your videos are great. As for new ideas, I think a series of tutorials targeted to women of different coloring for each video would be great. It could cover topics such as product recommendations, shade ranges and options, tips and techniques, etc.
as far as your videos are concerned, i can't make one negative comment! every video you have posted is amazing. when i started applying makeup to my face in high school (i'm going on 22 years old), i had no idea what i was doing. over the years, i've learned new techniques and habits, be they good or not so good! your tutorials allow me to learn the proper way to use products and bring out my inner beauty instead of masking it like i've become so accustomed to doing. please keep on keeping on :)

2) It would be awesome if you could do reviews for drugstore products (foundations to be specific) so people who are on a budget can know whats right...
blackasnight333 1 day ago
I just found your channel and love it. I just want to say THANK U for constantly mentioning what does and does not work for women of color because a lot of people say oh this works for everyone and it does NOT. I really appreciate it. I think a black would really make the colors pop and I would love 2see tutorials on models with different complexions, face and eye shape. If you could do a tutorial about how lipstick varies on people with different lip pigmentation and how 2make more colors work!

White background in my opinion is better than black.
What I really want to see, is for you to do make up tutorials on models of different skin colors and different shape of face, lips, eyes,...
I think you can find volunteers easily ;) I, for one, would love to :)

I'm sure I'll think of more.
whynot025 3 days ago
it would be really good if you could do different tutorials which use a range of models with different eye shapes, face shapes, skin tones, ages, etc. so that everyone can benefit.

My suggestions:
Reviews/hauls of brushes: can you do each side of the face with 2 different brands so we can actually see the difference? For example: comparing Hakuhodo blush brush with the Tom Ford, etc.
Tutorial for quick flawless, natural look skin for daily routine. Cause I dont have the time at 6am in the morning to apply all the layers :))
Thanx for ALL yr great tips so far!

Would like you to post a video on Mascara, which one is best and how to apply without looking cakey, and which brand really makes them extend. ..indicate whether its best to use false or go with your real one. i dont think full face tutorials are really necessary, you can demonstrate the technique in one area of your face.like you've done before in the blackhead video.even if its something your viewers want if your not really comfortable with full face makeup, your not really gonna be yourself in the video and thats one of the things that make your vids a pleasure to watch.if your viewers truly appreciate your vids they wont ask you to do things you dont enjoy.

Hope it helps and thank you!!

I think you should go with a black background, I believe the white background reflects too much light and it makes the skin look very pale and the products that you put on the face get lost with so much light reflection. I've seen other videos from other make up artist that have white backgrounds and I find it hard to see the colors specially blush and some eyeshadows.

It would be helpful to see techniques that address common problems such as:
1. years of over plucking eyebrows that have resulted in sparse growth
2. one eyebrow or eyelid that is lower than the other
3. how to camouflage outdated permanent (tattoo type) makeup

How to match foundation to your skin tone - in the shop? Colour schemes that will work with skin tone?

I would love advices about color coordination (colors themselves and also according to the eye color, skin tone, hair color) and videos like full makeup with minimal products (several uses for the same product). And please keep up with your "breaking the common misconceptions abt makeup" videos I love them!
MsMcCoffee 1 month ago
Watching your videos i noticed that you care about skin problems such as enlarged pores and give tips on how to cover them. Which is a major plus because not a lot of people's skin are flawless. However you do not spend time on darker skin tones such as (NC 50-and below). I always notice that people have the most difficult time finding out their correct makeup shade and proper blush to bring out a healthy glow. So maybe a video on just foundation and colors may help.

Looking forward to keep on watching all your posts. Keep up the CHARM!

SangriainTO 1 month ago

I love ur channel and love the way u wink!

1 BLACK background is such a good idea.

Thanks.

On the new channel -
Love that you are asking us - thank you! {{{HUGS}}}

SOMEHOW KEEPING THE OLDER VERSION would be nice, there may be that one thing that one may need to go back to b/c it worked so well and is not included in the new video.
esevilla11 1 month ago in playlist Uploaded videos 8
6. RECOMMENDATIONS in becoming a makeup artist 7.HOW TO USE ONE MAKEUP PRODUCT IN MORE THAN ONE WAY.
esevilla11 1 month ago in playlist Uploaded videos 3
8.SHOW ONE MAKEUP LOOK ON TWO PEOPLE OF DIFFERENT ETHNICITIES, AGES(example 20 VS 45), or even hair color, ACTUALLY SHOWING THE DIFFERENCE, some ppl may think they cannot pull off a look, but actually seeing the look on different colors of skin, with different hair color and/or ages in front of them may give them that one little "push" to trying something new.

Love your videos!!

Hi Wayne, so nice that you really care this much about us! Yes please move back after a tutorial so we can see the whole face just to get a better idea.

Good luck and thanks for all your fine work!

Best wishes in the new year!

Dear Wayne,
First of all, thank you for your devotion and the time.

You are an amazing teacher and I look forward to seeing what new things you come up with!

as far as your videos are concerned, i can't make one negative comment! every video you have posted is amazing. when i started applying makeup to my face in high school (i'm going on 22 years old), i had no idea what i was doing. over the years, i've learned new techniques and habits, be they good or not so good! your tutorials allow me to learn the proper way to use products and bring out my inner beauty instead of masking it like i've become so accustomed to doing. please keep on keeping on :)
