Yeah I live in Ireland and next door, the UK has access to paid apps in the Android Market. what makes it even funnier is the fact that Google's European HQ is located here in Dublin and it is the largest operation outside the US!!! One would seriously wonder! lol On a bright note, if you get an application called Market Enabler, it fools the location and is now supported on 2.1 I believe so it means you can get paid apps. Also, you can download apps on your PC and sync them to your HTC etc
@GaeilgeSpraoi yeah there are ways around it, market enabler requires a rooted phone for that trick however. The easiest way is probably to use an emulator on the computer.
@mt69298 Hey just to let ya know that I got it all working and now I can download paid apps! Fingers crossed Google will introduce a full Market to Ireland and other countries. Thanks. :)
There are another annoying thing in my Legend. Some times i notice that some service starts to connect thru GPRS to google-talk IP, even if my connectivity set to [off] system-wide.
excellent videos. I myself own both an iPhone 3GS and an HTC Legend, the Legend being my new phone.
i have to say, for me the iphone is fantastic but after awhile it got a little boring as it made everything soo easy to do. i know that sounds strange but, after using the Legend for a week now i like the options it presents me with and the widgets etc. iPhone looks a little bland in comparison.
@tibitubitube In some countries you can. I might have generalized a bit too much. A complete list can be found on the android page and there are a lot of countries missing from that list :(
What tha fuck :P
I have the HTC Legend and whoever gots a Iphone I will trade it :o

I like the information on the battery, I think people who say the battery is bad probably are playing games all day!

@mt69298 Yeah i tried to root the phone but it seemed too compicated and it may void my warranty. How do you do the emulator? I'm interested. :)
GaeilgeSpraoi 1 year ago
@GaeilgeSpraoi Just google it. It's really simple. Basically you just download the Android SDK and start it up.
mt69298 1 year ago
@mt69298 Yeah thanks for that. I did that but the SDK doesn't have the Market on it so I can't download apps. Any ideas? :/

About invisible applications in Android 2.1. There was a hotfix (8mb) for Legend one week ago, now all applications are accessible.
