You made one statement that is inaccurate as you harassed the security guards. You said, "We're in public." You were not in a public place; you were inside the store. That is not a "public place" - it is a private place of business.

While I agree that many folks abuse the badge they wear, you abused the civil peace with your harassment. What you did is, in my opinion, worse than what they did.

A private business open to the public is a public place. This guard had zero expectation of privacy because he was in Supply Sergeant.

@discarted But you are trying to manufacture a confrontation. The contact was minimal,possibly even accidental. The whole episode reminded me of a tiny toy poodle yapping at the heels of these guards, wanting to get the boot. I would really like to see you go into airports and capture some of the crap the TSA agents constantly pull.. Now that would be really worth watching. Paul Blarts are pretty boring subject matter.

@jeh6421 The contact was not accidental. And Costa could have easily said his badge # from four feat away instead of walking up to me and pushing his chest into my body.

I wonder would happen to you if you intentionally, but "minimally" pushed your chest into this security guard. My guess is a citizen's arrest by the guard and a trip in their private SUV to the LAPD's Hollywood station.
