Pertaining to the conversation of women.God can speak through and teach through who he want's either man or woman, but God did not create women to "assume authority" over man, there is a huge difference between a women teaching and preaching and assuming authority. Because of today's cultural exchange in many areas of society between the sexes, that is not to come into the order of the church that God has placed in his words.
@IvoryNSmith-God created two sexes, male and female, they both were created with similar detail, like we both walk, talk, etc. But God did not call both Adam & Eve men or women, he called Adam a man and Eve a woman. God gave them different responsibilities. He told Adam to tend to the garden, he told Eve to help or assist him. Genesis is the creation or the foundation of the doctrine of man kind and the differences between male & female that God himself established.
@IvoryNSmith-Ladies, all through our scripture we see the pattern that God established of his creation of man to lead, and that pattern no matter how we say it cannot be changed, because it is established. God never said that women could not participate in the function or opportunities of ministry, but, God has made it clear in his word, that he created the male to lead-there is a difference, I repeat, God created both sexes to participate in ministry, but, has only called men to lead.
@IvoryNSmith Many of times ladies use the scriptures of Deborah the prophetess, remember Deborah said that she would not go out to war, unless Baruch went with her in which he was her covering while she lead, but let's not forget that she acknowledged Baruch leadership and as the one who God established to lead and Baruch said to her to go, he took the lead by leading her to go. Ladies, you can not choose to ignore the pattern of scripture, if you do, you refuse to admit to what is written.
@IvoryNSmith- to the argument that Philips daughters were prophetess, scripture never records they were prophetess, it says they prophesied. Scripture does not detail what level of the prophetic they operated in, therefore no one can assume to know. Also, Philip was their father and their father was a minister-an Evangelist, he was their ministerial covering. The pattern remains the same, that God created men to cover women in the functions of ministry, that is the obvious scriptural order.
@theoneg23... Just thought about ur last statement. In ur words "the Bible speaks against women preachers," but then u said there is no mention of women being deacons, apostles, preachers, elders, bishops. If the Bible makes no mention then how does it speak against it?
well @maeshell, the Bible speaks against women preachers. In fact, there is no mention of women preaching or being deacons or elders or bishops or apostles in the Bible.
@deacon21206 also mentions women that assisted in the business of God. A women isn't to assume the authority of a man far as the order God put in place.
if we can just take time and aloud the LORD to speak to us and receive it and thrust in rely on it and aloud the HOLY SPIRIT to guild us throw it all to the end to known GOD IS WITH US THAT IS A BLESSING AMEN
I woke up this morning with this song on my heart! I appreciate and thank GOD that someone put it on here for me to listen to! Bless him, in the name of Jesus.. Amen!
good night... oh my good gracious alive.. I have to go and lay down on that one---gooooood God help me Jesus-- I love you Lord--let your Spirit guide oh Lord--I am listening!
