Oh yes, the dogs! Labs have to be about the goofiest dogs around, what fun! The mother/daughter mini dachshunds are hilarious, loved them in the " Mildred Fierce" Dog Days, too. I love dogs, especially other peoples dogs! FYI, Michael, my 18 1/2 year old cat, Frankenstein, very recently passed from kidney failure. I have adopted two cats, four months and eight months old. Both are black because I always loved Trey's looks and black is slow to adopt; leaving lots of great cats available!
@robert4301 -- Sorry to hear about Frankenstein. I know he was a great companion to you. Congrats on the two black cats. I never knew black cats were slow to adopt...can't imagine why...they are so "traditional"...but maybe people have superstitions about them...Do yours have the white "bowtie"?
@ScoobyHubby --Both of these cats are all black, save for a tiny white double chevron on a front leg of the younger one. Both cats were listed as female on the adoption documents. I took them to my vet for an exam Thursday and it turns out the younger one is male. "Her" shelter name was very feminine so a re-name is up. I am inclined to name "him" Trey, after your cat but I'm aware of the "creepy fan" potential so I ask for your blessing before I do this. Happy New Year, Michael!
@robert4301 -- I think Trey would be honored if you named your cat after him. What better compliment could there be? And besides, that probably makes him eligible to join the TempTREYtions someday. Happy New Year to you and your new family members.
@ScoobyHubby -- Thanks, Michael, Trey it is then! It may be a while before he can try out for the TempTREYtions, though. I'm sure you remember what kitties are like at four months old. These two are constantly together grooming, playing or sleeping in a heap. Both cats are super well socialized bottle babies. I met both foster moms, they're great with motherless kittens. Ximena the older one at 8 1/2 months but still a kitten at heart. It will be fun watching them grow up!
