  • check out da real cichlid tank.go to my page

  • im a new fish tank owner. i got a 32 gallon tank. i was wondering if you build those rock structures, where would you get them.

  • @mike62895 HEY I HAVE A NICE 20 GALLON FISH TANK! CHECK IT OUT

  • tequila <333333333 haha gotta love sublime dude

  • shuold i buy a 55 gallon starting kit top fin from petsmart 179$ its a good price its the best i can do i mean im like 14 but i can save up to get that much money but i was wondering if its good quality and how long will it last?

  • @xXxGildartxXx they last a long time i had 1 it lasted for 16 years

  • @piggy68921 are you sure top fin??? the one from petsmart that cost 179$

  • perty

  • @bigKdowork those fish look like cichlids and so no they dont i own a couple of cichlid mostly african but cichlids dont destroy live plants :)

  • the yellow one might be too big.

  • Where did you get that stand? I have been looking for that color .

  • Love the rock set-up.

  • how do u make the bubbles come up from bottom of tank might sound dumb but i just got a 55 gal tank not really dat smart when it comes 2 tanks but yours is really nice

  • @mrperfect390 it's called an airstone

  • @mrperfect390 before putting your ornaments in and plants bury your air stones where you want them under the gravel

  • @mrperfect390 get rid of your tank NOW!

  • @mrperfect390 You need to purchase bubbler, plastic tubing and pump from pet supply store.

  • this is cute!

  • like the tank but change the gravel when you only have like 2 or 3 fish left because its ugly :/

  • Haha, I am not really one to talk because my setup has the exact same problem but it looks fantastic other than the gravel. Switch it out for some regular brown gravel if you get a chance! Other than that, it is very pretty.

  • is tht us or uk gallon tank can any one help please! :)

  • crap gravel

  • hey

    auesome tank

    can u pls help me??

how many liters is this tank??

    thx

  • Nice set upi, I like it when it's like that more natural.

  • I just got a few new cichlids from a store and they are dying after about 3 weeks i have existing fish in the tank that have lived and grown for over a year.. anyone know why this is happening? is it likely the fish were sick at the store or perhaps something else? they were fine up until the last few day all the sudden they are sick(the new ones)

    THANKS

  • @Scrotch19 check the water temp. and do not throw in the new fish at the same moment, let them be in the acvarium whit the plastic (new fish inside the plastic) , after 15-20mins you can realese them . buy doin so your fishes can adjust therself to the water heat, most os my fishes died like this to, you can ask for help in the store you buy them. and don´t buy to muny males, they can kill each other if you have females in the tank .

  • @crusherrer yeah temp was fine i mean the ones that died were in there for a few months then poof gone. lol so it goes i suppose

  • thanks for the help

  • awsome tank

  • Can I keep 2 jack dempseys,2 green terrors, and 2 convicts in a 55 gallon tank.

  • @thecichlidsfishrock no, you could keep 1 of each though with good filtration and constant water changes

  • @thecichlidsfishrock Yea that would work just good filtration and lots of hiding space

  • @thecichlidsfishrock as long as you keep cichlids from the same lake together they should be ok. If you have Africans keep them with Africans and south Americans with south Americans.

  • can i keep kribenis wih convicts ??

  • would it be advisable to keep one convict in a 40 gal tank with 8 tiger barbs and a red tail shark?

  • @stephen4715 I think it is possible. I have a similar stocking except it's a 55 and I have clown barbs rather than tigers . That is no guarantee that it will work for you, however, individual cichlids and red tails really vary. If you try it, give them lots of hiding places and have a plan B incase it does not work. For example, I have a mature 29 gallon tank I can use to divide my fish.

  • @lola26granola ok i'll give it a go thanks for the advice

  • I dont see a problem with that... I have a 35 gal tank with (3) African cichlids (2) tiger barbs (1) rainbow shark "red tail" (1) pleco (1) dinosaur Eel and (2) fiddler crabs... Sounds crowded but my fish prosper I can't keep my female from having babies twice a year! People advise not having a crowed tank and I agree but the fish will adapt so long as the temp and water is healthy! I have even had a beta survive among cichlids but I wouldn't advise it :)

  • this is what i have but mine is black and dark brown i only have like 15 fish tho

  • Fantastically!

  • sublime ftw dude :D

  • i dont know why people ask where they got the rocks. its not like there gonna get them

  • First of all alright setup.....second why do most of u do African's I ain't racist but south American are better lookin such as the electric blue jack Dempsey, jack Dempsey, jag, green terror, true red festae "red terror" just name a few.....only good one to me is the frontosa and peacock from the African side......

  • @ocphil1134 kribensis

  • nice setup but the gravel looks like clown puke :D

  • @DavidFrom209 ur a dickhead shut up ur boring

  • Your acquarium in very, very nice! You can see my aquarium in "Acquario di pesci tropicali - VINCENZO IANNI". Vincenzo

  • Hey, i've had alot of expirience with smaller fish like tetras, and currently have about ten in a 20 gallon and it's been going very well. I have a 55 in my basement and was wondering if i'm ready for the challenge of maintaining it. I was planning on only having a few larger fish, like cichlids in it. I would much appreciate your oppinion. I am willing to spend the money. Thanks.

  • @Fisherguy28 Go for the African Cichlids as these fish are very hardy and in a 55 gal tank you could fit quiet a few. Also they like high alkaline water which is easy to maintain than neutral PH lots of rocks!! Easy to breed great colors i could go on and on...... Just do it!! Cheers

  • i like!!!

  • i have a blood parrot and a firemouth in a 55 gallon tank. what other cichlid do you think i could put in with them?

  • @Rob10321 convicts are a good fish they dont grow to big and aint 2 aggresive but only buy 1 or youll b over crouding it

  • do they fight alot

  • u get a cam

  • Fresh tank. in my 55 I got a jag, a flowerhorn, a red peacock, a tire track eel, a catfish and a clown loach. Weird set of fish, but because I've had them since they've been young they get along, Probably gonna have to take out my red peacock eventually though =/

  • fitting song lol. nice setup bud.

  • i got 2convictz but i cnt keep them with other fish? :(

  • No, really?! They're chichilids retard >.>

"Convictz", how disgusting. Go and learn to type.

  • @FullTimeExperts haha what's funny is that it's actually spelled cichlids, retard!

  • @bookoodiggydow What's funny is that you have amazing grammar! Well done, Sir!

  • @FullTimeExperts thankyou? haha

  • @FullTimeExperts Cichlids can be kept with other fish but not convicts and they must be kept with other cichlids! And btw dwarf cichlids can be kept in community tanks if the fish are not tiny like neon tetras or glow lights.

  • @hhnguy your statement is so ass backwards i lol'd. convicts are cichlids, cichlids can be kept with other fish? so no birds? wtf are u trying to say there? the easy answer to everything you have said is DO YOUR RESEARCH befor u post to the world or just show everyone that u speak out of ur ass ahhh verbal diarrhea cichlid convict fish akljdffsdkfb

  • @zerocool212121 peacocks cichlids not the bird ! you should look up YOUR information before you make stupid statements like that.

  • @hhnguy first off it was sarcasm from your horrible statement saying fish can be kept with fish, and i know my shit so thanks for looking like a dumbass. second where did u say peacock cichlids? please read your statement again because no one knows what your trying to say. i would say that statement is spot on plz try and read it again or have someone that knows english read it to u thanks.

  • @zerocool212121 By the way that comment has been there for what, 2 months and no on has had a problem you are now just being a little fuck head and trying to be as difficult as possible so you know what stop starving the attention it just makes people push you further out of the spot light!

  • cool tank check out my vids they are just little babies right now but cool

  • HOW MUCH A 55 GALLON WITHOUT THA HOOD

  • convict fry, never knew such a thing could happen, lmfao

  • that beutiful tanks

  • like the chill musicccc

  • i think theres a turd stuck on your glass

  • what a cool tank

  • Hey i am thinking of a 200-300Litre(52-80Gal) cichlid tank, how are they with a pleco? Also, what kind of food do they prefere, live or proccesed?

  • @175myles You should be fine. The cichlids seem to leave plecos alone because they mostly just stick to the glass, but it would be a good idea to make sure it couldn't fit inside the mouth of the cichlids just to be safe.

  • Well, if you look at the top right, you'll see a rather small pleco.

  • @Weazell, I know there is a pleco in there... I was wondering how they get along... For all I know, that pleco could of been in there for 5 minutes.

  • nice set up my dude

  • plz have a look at my new 55g cichlid tank and tell me if there is anything i can do to make it better thx

  • i have a 55 gallon

    i have

    7 giant danios

    2 blue gouramis

    1 pictus cat.

what else could/should i put in there?

  • how aggressive are they ? please reply

  • @TrueSplash

Most cichlids are aggressive, but if you get them all together when there young they shouldn't be to bad.

But don't try to mix cichlids when there older.

  • Keeping in mind that objects are lighter in water but will make the overall density of the water more but most of the time you can get away with a few rocks, quite a few actually but these look like "light river rocks" not like "heavy garden rocks" if that makes any sense at all, different rocks will way less then others.

BTW this is a beautiful tank and it may be slightly overstocked but it looks like you do regular maintenance and keep it crystal clean so it shouldn't be a problem

    5/5 man :)

  • very nice tank 5*

  • Are these stones real? How much weight can you put on the bottom of the tank? Is it dangerous?

  • @Ciaglewruchu Think about how much the water weighs.

  • Most of the time the bottom glass is built stronger then the rest , you can put a good amount and not have to worry

  • Not to mention that water weighs about 10lbs per gallon, so it's really not that much more weight.

  • @thatdude199 dont forget that things get lighter in water!

  • you should be thinking about what your floor is made out of.

  • lol is that sublime- what happened playing in the background?

  • 35 is too many for even a 55 gallon

  • @whatsepultrac I disagree,, I have about 40 small cichlids and they are fine as long as you provide proper filtration and clean the bottom frequently, I clean it twice a week.

  • When they are smaller then that many in a 55 will be fine. But as they get older and start maturing that is WAY too many for a 55, even with a lot of filtration. The aggression is why that just won't work. And considering most african cichlids get about 6", that is way too many fish in that small of a tank.

  • Granted the size may push a few of the fish out, but overcrowding cichlids is a great idea. there natural habitat is a very crowded environment and this also helps with aggression by the cichlids losing their opponent in the "crowd" but it does take a lot of work with cleaning, a great filter, and a close eye to make sure they are all eating properly.

  • I agree with most of your points. But 30+ afrcians would be 180"+ or so (give or take) in a tank that is 4'. And with afrcians like P. Crabro (bumblebee cichlid) and P. Kenyi that would be a disaster to say thew least. Fish with the aggression and territorial issues like those 2 listed tend to kill off a lot of fish who they feel are threats to their territory. And god forbid you end up getting a fish like the venustus. They get BIG. So there goes a lot of fish. :(

  • I have a question for all you fish tank experts. You know how big tanks have plants and fish, do you clean your fish tank often or do the plants clean (eat) the fish poop? Currently I have 15 gallon fish tank with 35 convicts( grey with black stripes and white with orange spots) and one sucker fish (sucks on the glass and eats algae) and is brown with a griaffe pattern. Recently I found a 55 gallon fish tank. Going back to my question, should I put live plants in my 55 g tank and what types?

  • Wayyyyy too many convicts for a 15 gallon tank. Thats definitely why your having a problem with excess fish poop.but if you are planning on keeping cichlids in your 55 gallon, live plants aren't the best choice because they will typically become uprooted by the fish. They tend to dig a lot marking territory and for spawning. get rid of some of those convicts and vacuum your substrate about once a month and you should be fine.

  • dude i thunk you over stocked a bit

  • very nice

  • nice tank... check mine out when you get a chance.

  • Great tank =)

  • I ♥ your tank :-)

  • My oscar digs up plants. As do most cichlids.

  • i sub u sub back also watch my videos and rate them 5 thx:)

  • how big can african chilids get?

  • About the size of a quarter and can get bigger (depends on the size of the tank).

  • nice

  • very nice tank... but a little crowded i think...

  • nice tank, I like the cherry oak color too

  • Nice tank but I hope you bonded those rocks together, as cichlids like to dig!!

  • just set up a 20 tall tank. put my trio of cons in there, one is pink. and two dempsycons. my tank is fully planted and hard to keep it that way.

  • 20 gallons, and planted? but with dempsy-convict hybrids and three convicts? no wonder it's hard to keep your semi-large fish, they need more swimming space... plus a smaller aquarium is less forgiving...

  • Nice setup. What's the really big yellow cichlid with the blue face?

  • what r the yellow ones?

  • your tanks not crowded its nice

  • Really nice fish and set up, a little crowded though?

  • thats a nice tank setup

  • convicts should be kept in a species only tank they get too aggressive especially when they have fry

  • if their not being aggressive from the beging youll be fine. i breed cichlids myself and there aggression very's by fish not species.

  • cwl, r those expensive?

  • Not actually, if you think 10 $ is expensive :P

But they live for a great amount of time, mines been alive for a year ^_^

  • where did you get that rock and are those live plants

  • Rocks come from outside. They are on the ground.

  • lol

  • good one!

  • @pnisvgina Reading your comment made me burst out laughing lol

  • Nice tank, nice and clean & good lighting. But I'd like 2 C a little bit more closeups! check out my posting & may be rate & comment :) FM

  • lol my convicts breed like crazy i have 60 convicts now

  • thats a badass tank

  • hey i have 10 cichlids and most of them are electric yellows and i just added a female electric yellow and now there all aggresive, how do i stop it... please help me

  • the rule is 3 females for every male if its your only female take it out

  • rbby is sort of right, if its your only female then thats probably why theyre being agressive because they all want her :p

  • are those real plants

  • awessome

  • Awesome set up! Are the plants real? I really wish I had the means to get some big ol rocks too... I took the huge piece of slate I had in mine out and now it kind of feels naked... The convicts are fantastic! My old roomate had some convicts but he moved out and now all I have are my cichlids, pictus catfish and a pleco for now! Cheers on such a cool tank!

  • Very nice tank

  • love the setup bro

  • what kind of filter do you have?

  • help! I'm thinking of getting an azoo palm filter! I'm thinking of putting one in an 1.5 gallon tank with my male betta. or one in an 2.5 gallon tank with 2 goldfish. or, should i put one in both! Please reply back or comment on my channel!

  • Nice tank!

  • that is what i said

  • all u need is glass a glass cutter and silicon glue and thats it

  • AQUARIUM GRADE.... lol had a bad experience...stupid me

  • I need help with this..i know this will be kind off-vid but can someone tell me what i need to make a fish tank except for the glasses ?

  • look up plywood tanks u will save some $

  • nice tank but have you ever delt with ich anyone who has i need help

  • for ich, i went to my local fish store and bought a medicine for it. ask people in your favorite fish shop for advice, usually they are better than asking online.

  • i love your tank! are those real or fake plants?.. anyway i love the rocks you have there!!

  • I love it. Personally I love the rocks and how it is built together.

  • i agree

  • really nice

  • excellent looking tank !!

  • now thats a nice lookingh tank. You know how to properly setup up aquascaping

  • awesome tank !! :D

  • how do you clean it with the live plants

  • You just take the plants out and then re-bury them with gravel. Unless they are well rooted ust clean it around the plants as there is no need to clean every spec of the tank.

  • nice tank + fish check out mine

  • i love gettin crabs :D

  • whats the name of the ending song?

  • where did you get those big rocks that you have stacked? i need somthing like that for my oscar aquarium.

  • many people go to t rivres or lakes and get them from there

  • Great aquarium. Amazing compozition.

  • nice tank

    check mine out

  • vey nice tank.

  • AWESOME

  • nice tank

  • YEAH SUBLIME!!

  • Bad mix of fish but great looking tank

  • bad setup mixing Africans and centrals with coral which will rise the ph well to high for centrals and scratch your fish.
