this is the most mature interpretation ever done. the tempi are chosen in the respect of the composers intentions everything is controlled the sound brilliant perfect. no little doubt anywhere. yes Martha Argerich made a better caree than Vladimir Horowitz. She just did more.... Comparable with Arthur Rubinsteins career but I think she worked even more hard than Rubinstein...
I love the fugue that starts around 4 min 50 sec. Great counterpoint throughout and she plays spectacularly on every level. love this piece and her performance
@civilbb1:53 - 2:13 =D Quite possibly the greatest 20 seconds of music ever conceived. The section she finishes off within it at 2:04- absolutely magnificent: far too often I feel performances don't give those measures enough expression. That chord sent goosebumps and euphoria all over my body!
Some melodies are rather like those in the second movement of Alkan's Grand Sonata.

Forget this shit boy because in 50 years, nobody will remenber him.

That s the difference.

Assuming you mean "0:57", I don't see any D major there :)

I'm sorry, I am incorrect. I meant a section in Part 1 of this piece.

But I LOVE that theme every time it repeats in this piece!

about 20 people explained me that this is "immature" and not as good as older Argerich... still my favorite performance

excellent recording-although "sonata" it is not in the classic sense-more like a tone poem for piano-could be argued
