Amazing how a song can take you back to the days when you would cut up the dance floor to this jam...This was such a party hit back in the day!! One hit wonders, but a classic jam nonetheless!!
@spidahranks TL Cross (lead singer) just released his "World Soul EP: Vol.1" on iTunes.. He's been writing & working constantly, wrote & produced one of my favorite Musiq Soulchild songs "Whereareyougoing". Find him on Twitter & facebook, one of the realest cats I know!
I remember this, I like how the remixed " Show the Way to Go" by the Jacksons, and of course " six minutes, six minutes, six minutes, Dougie Fresh you' re on" Nice time warp>
This sooo takes me back to HUGE earrings.......back to when young ladies didn't need tight clothing.......and the dancing. The dancing was the best. Love this song!
If anyone knows where I can buy a legal mp3 of this song, please post the location. The mp3 of this song is not available on Amazon or Rhapsody. Thanks.....
It's virtually non-existent in legal format lol... It's a hard song to find period... The ONLY place I've been able to find it after extensive searching is Limewire unfortunately
I almost want to cry when I compare this music to the shit that we hear today. The Rihannas, Chris browns, lady gagas and all that cloned bullcrap. Such a shame, they don't make music like this no more
I do agree & a lot of people do,artists of today really make me sick but I really don't think Chris Brown should be in that category, I think he's part of the few who actually make some sense.
I have been looking for this song forever, I miss the smooth era as well, this was my jam back in the day I know I recorded this off the radio back in the day!! LOL :))
Micheal and his brothers made it and Al B. Sure! wrote different lyrics for Ladae and Chubb Rock rapped on the remix.Damn ya'll that was perfect for everyone involved. Damn I really miss the "SMOOTH ERA" I'm playing the hell out of this song now.And I just found it yesterday.
Isn't it funy how you are not even thinkin' about a jam until you do some random searching on Youtube and you stumble across 1 of the best joints of the "SMOOTH ERA". For those that know what that means it's merely jams that came out between '95-'98 and had a certain something to it. Thx 4 the post and now I will be jammin' to this on my "SMOOTH ERA pt.2" playlist.
I used to listen to this song all the time in the summer of 1996 and had no idea it was sampled until I heard 'Show You the Way to Go' on the radio while driving about a year ago. The radio announcer didn't say the name of the song or the artist so I had to get on the Internet and search for Show You the Way to Go. I was shocked to learn that Michael Jackson sung this with his brother's. A lot of people forgot about the music MJ made as part of the Jackson's(not Jackson 5) before he died.
this is the song that introduced me to the jacksons "show you the way to go" and I actually ended up like that song better. I was fifteen when my mom told me that it was a mj sample. Then of course she had break out her old records. this one is still tight though!
LADAE motown 1996,they remind me of the jackson 5 and dru hill,i always wished i was in this video, you can see me in a 1993 video called "baby be mine" the remix by blackstreet,i'm lite skin with long curly hair i have a cap to the back,"party tonite is an awesome song and video i'll never get tired of.
Me neither. I can play it all day long and never get tired of it. It's rare when a song makes you that happy that you can't bring yourself to stop playing it.
OMG I finally found this song! I've been sing bits and pieces for years! I only have ONE more song to find and my mental music status will alright. If anyone can help, I think it's a chick and she says"Lay back relax I got your back im giving you what u want tell u that im gonna..." and"When it's early in the morning and your laying next to me with the sunlinght shining on your skin and looking so sexy, I can't beleive what you do to me..." HELP this song was around 95 I think...Anyone?
I loved this group! This was one of the best M.J samples ever! Just my opinion. I was hoping that they would have seen more success. They were a great group anyway.
damn i was in looooooooooove wit brian, i remember when they came to eastmont mall and was signing autographs lmao, what the hell ever happened to them?
its amazing how much i appreciate this song and video now, than i did back in 1996. it is just a testimony of how music has deteriorated so much these days.
yeah..she said he like like "craig mack " i been found that out :) thank you .but this song is fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i like the one with out the rap
Thank you, thank you, thank you. My journey is finally over. I have literally been looking for this video for years!!! I have the song and even raised my 14 year old niece on it. She loves it but I have been looking for the video for us too!! Thanks again! Ladae, we need you back!
the lead singer is really a good person look him up on the myspace page he is cool as hell TL Cross he has some nice songs on there also still doin his thing miss monique
Still got the 5 remix maxi single of this, album wasn't that great but this takes me back to when alot of good rnb groups were coming out in the 90's.
I had this single...and It took the longest time to find this song again...that being said, does anyone else notice that Al B. Sure's omnibrow seems to be contagious (see brown skinned dude to the right of the NeYo look a like(
you tube is amazing, i gave up the search for the song, and I get to enjoy the video again! One of my favorite songs ever produced, they just dont make tracks like this anymore, suprisingly he does look like neo and neo happens to be the most impressive singer song writer right now to me
