  • Why do you use your octopus?

  • not properly weighted

  • That's pretty cool. Not as cool as jumping off the top deck in "flying squirrel" position, but pretty cool.

  • that's how Bear Grylls enters water when he goes scuba diving...only he does a somersault

  • @geniemist He also drinks his own pee after doing it.

  • hehe..crazy guy.. =D

  • he has gotta know what he is doing. He is wearing a Buddy Jacket!!

  • good onya mate

  • At least you didn't trip over your fins and faceplant on the edge....

  • Funny entry :) I wouldn't do stuff like that in front of inexperienced divers in case they decide to try it. I am all about safety, and being a good rolemodel for my students, but when it's just us pros, we can have a few extra laughs like this :P BTW: love the Buddy Commando BCD :)

  • the dive guides didnt like it? probably because if you had hurt yourself, then you or your family would have sued. now youll say 'oh i did this a hundred times' and you already tried to excuse it buy stating how you wore the cylinder low. diving is safety. im not too uptight, i just dont want to see ppl hurt. you may get away with it, but what about another diver who wants to impress his buddies.

  • Textbook!

  • LoL..tell tat to the SEALs

  • you can get more scuba diving stories on the myscubastory site . Type myscubastory into google and its the first one i thinik

  • my brother did that once, glass of his goggles broke and entered his nose. Not recommended,

  • hahahaha classic 10/10 for commitment

  • I give that a 5/6 for style

  • Thats called a porpoise entry. It has a single purpose, to make folks laugh.

  • commercial diver style!

  • there is a reason why scuba divers should not jump like this. Try not doing that in future, but i did laugh.

  • diving privileges... REVOKED!

  • The camara man sounds like John Leguizamo LOL.

That laugh is 5 stars in and of itself!

  • hehe thats funny but isnt that ur octo ur breathing out?

  • hahahhahahahhah

  • Well, they always tell you to take a big stride... But they never tell you to go legs first :P

  • Not the smartest entry, with its elevated risk of head injury, and certainly one I'd have stopped him from repeating if i had been running the boat, but I have to give him credit for grace and style! Only experts should do this type of thing. For all those muppets out there don't try it, just in case the water is a bit shallower than you expected! See head injury reference above.

  • How bout the fact that he is using his octo instead of his primary second stage?

  • @bostonfd The yellow reg in his mouth is his primary, his secondary is secured in an orange ocoto clip on a d-ring. See 0:09

  • lol yeah, the 2nd stage is dangeling on the right side of him...

  • @Dayuchan nice observation man

  • Que burrada...

  • To all the people saying he could hit his head.

If he had a normal BC he could have, but his is fucking weird. It's way too far back for him to hit his head (without first snapping his neck, of course)

  • idiot.....you could have hit the back of your head on your tank....that stuff on you? It floats, for the most part.

  • Yes I am "actually" a diver. LOL...it's not like the boyancy is controllable above water as much as under/in the water. I just think that the guy was risking hitting the back of his head on the valve.

  • Woohoo! At least his stainless steel backplate remained intact for sure. But it looks like he made it OK. Encore!

  • Well why not ;)

  • i dnt get y its sooo cool

  • for one that equipments pretty heavy outta the water, and 2 its kinda stupid considerin you have like size 70 feet when wearing fins, so runnin in them is pretty cool :P

oh yeah like sum1 else said his tank could have rattled him in the head

so basically the jackass of diving xD

  • textbook "diver OK " after jump. LOL

  • HA thats great!:)

  • You got any Veras?...Looovely!!!

    Great work...10/10

  • lol great entry will have to try that one time

  • haha i love this!! still laughing(2days after first watching it) :)

  • i'd give that a perfect 10

  • if you watch the video again from the start you'll see that i've placed the tank extremely low on my back (nearly too low!) to avoid that head smash you refer too. Its the sorta precaution any good stunt man would take!!. The laughter by Lee is the best part for me...

  • lol, didn't you smack your head on the tank?because i hit my head when i do the regular giant stride entry...i'd probably get knocked out doing this!

  • lol...

  • Look at the Dorsel fin on that! Like a Salmon!

  • Great Dive
