Like a Musicman Sabre or Sting ray evolution! Nice playing! let's open a playing with our own fingers club. ( btw, people can play blues & read books).
Great cover, I always thought the dude that sang this song was the reincarnation of Robert Johnson, very similar tones to their voices-rambling. Anyway would cut off my right leg to play like you. Thanks for posting.
I can't remember, to be honest, but probably not. I don't tend to fiddle with the controls over much when playing electrics. I tend to use the neck pickup as the prominent pickup, and use the more mellow end of the electrics. I don't use any pedals - though I do have a wah-wah and a volume pedal somewhere! And I don't use any FX other than reverb to give the sound a little wetness... :-)
hey I have a 1981 G&L f-100 same body color ebony fretboard sounds just like yours the older it get the better it sounds bye the way nice tune good tone
They're great guitars aren't they! You can't tell from the vid but the body is a bit beat up and (being solid mahogany weighs a ton! But the tone is wonderful - they do get better with age!
Good music and very good playing, long time since I've heard that one! And it's good to see and hear a G&L, I have a 2006 American Legacy and just love the tone. Keep on rockin'

Incredible. You would do us all a great service if you created a toutorial for your version of this classic tune!

In my humble opinion, there's no better song for jamming than this one ...
Are you using E minor blues scale all the time?
Cheers
P.D.: Would be great if you could you post some short tutorial for a few of the riffs your are using

Hey Will,
I really enjoyed this video! I have about nine G&Ls ('97 and up). How do the older vintage g&ls compare to modern day ones?
warpigs020 3 years ago
I can't say = never tries a modern one! :-)

Hi Will. I happen to be considering that guitar. I love G&L. Did you have the HB split?

Great guitar playing!
I tried a G&L Strat-style guitar (is that called the Legacy?) a while back and I did like it, but I think I still like Fender better.
OnionsMcGee 3 years ago
The modern G&L version of the Strat is the Legacy. Mine is an original '81 version called the F-100 - which I think is beefier. :-)

I'm actually using a PLine6 Pod amp simulator - can't remember the setting now, but it's certainly got a touch of distortion in it... :-)
