@gsonic55 they arent "remaking X" -.- They are upsacling it for HD with a few new little character animations, and they chose X because its about as far back in the main series as they can go to actually make a hd render viable. I doubt we will ever see a full remake of 6, 7 or 8 so dont hold your breath. this is the video games industry not hollywood

I think they were called Ultimas (i forget). 

But, to the point, nobody could beat them without doing what we talked about, and I love Square for throwing them in there (not having to do with the linear storyline).

@shimatetsuo2019 Emerald and Ruby weapon... And you didn't need to go and level for hours, just a use a simple tactic. Emerald = Take off your Materia. Ruby = Give all your top Materia to one character (including pairing final attack with Pheonix), than kill the other two outside of battle. Easy.

The series started going downhill at FF10. I wish they would release a game with a similar battle style and level up system to FF7.

@davem1992ftw actually 7 isn't my favorite final fantasy. However the battle system, level up system, everything in this game was just awesome. Every game before 13 was far superior to 13. I'm so darn sick of this bullshit that you "have to be a fanboy to like ff7" It's a great game. A masterpiece! The music is so good( Even Nobuo himself said that) , the attacks are great (materia, limits, magic and even the items are amazing ) Up to this day FF7 succeeds to impress me with stuff that i've never seen, even though it has been around like nearly 15 years.

I wish that I was older than 7 back in the 1997 so that I could play this game and get more out of it, while it was new ! :D
