I that it's a year later but I have been killing myself trying to find this comic series. Is it the Avengers or Agents of Atlas?

Every month I buy my pile of comics. This review came just in time. Thanks for the good review. I'll buy Agents of Atlas #5 with my pile of regular titles thanks to you guys' awesome review. big fan of the show. just curious guys hoe do you film these shows? I mean, who takes careof the customers? Also, why does Jose seem to be always annoyed atthe beginning of the show?

We film them after the shop is closed, so there are no customers to take care of. And Jose is always annoyed, so that should come as no surprise.

Sorry to double post, but I forgot to mention New Avengers #53, the most recent one. The writing is utter garbage, especially Spider-Man's dialogue, but I thought Billy Tan's artwork was greater than usual, really stood out for me in this issue.

I used to defend Bendis, trying to say that he works hard on many books, but he should really be taken off the writing, and stick to the "story". I'm still gonna buy the Dark Avengers and New Avengers books, just for the sake of following Dark Reign, but those two books have been really: "meh"

they have been "meh" at best, I would describe them more as "bleh". I think he just needs to take a rest from writing for a while and recharge his batteries, his stuff is getting really stale.

okay, l think that l do vaguely remember that -[ what if]- comic. Nonettheless, l do remember them more vividly from A 4ever.

As luck would have it (bad that is) AoA was sold out...oy.

On a +note, l did p/u E's Xena/AoD #two. While not caring 4 the 70's s-heroes animationish art, l thought that it was a decent popcorn read.

On Atlas, l guess l'll try my 2nd bookstore 2morrow.

l've liked Carlo's work on several covers and some fill in Hulk issues. He's definetly going 2 be sought after!

Wow. Is was that good, huh? I was hesitant to pick up this issue for I hate having single issues of series I don't collect and the AoA isn't a team I'm familiar with, but considering that Mr. Parker's take on the NA is apparently incomparably superior to Bendis' and knows how to correctly handle each character, I think I may buy it next time I see it on the shelves. Not only that, but I agree with you guys that the art nothing short of gorgeous. That alwasy a plus in my book. :-)

Are you talking about the Agents of Atlas, pmknight?

The team was originally formed in What If #9 I believe. The story was called "What if the Avengers were formed in the 50's." That's where the concept came from.

Jeff Parker did a mini series with the AOA a couple of years ago to bring the team into our time. Pick up the trade if you can. It was great. There is also a reprint of the What If in there too.

Brandon and I plotted together and scripted 11 pages each. Usually I did the first 9 pages and then the last 2, with the exception of Issue #4 where I did the first 11 pages and he did the 2nd half of the book.
