Hey DJ Abstract..how does the CDX feel?

I wanna buy one..but I dunno how to set it up. There are a lot of vinyl set up tutorial but none of the CDX. is it hard to set up?

For being a cd player the CDX feels pretty close to vinyl. I just like the control I have with it. It's familiar. It's not hard to set up at all. All you need to play are cd's.

It's easy. All you need are RCA cables to go from the CDX to the mixer.

Advice: Get them and don't look back. They are AMAZING.

However if you can afford more then get the Numark X2. It's a CD player/Vinyl Turntable hybrid. Possibly the best piece of kit since the 1210s.

Man, I got it a long time ago. I think at the time I got it for about $250 - $300. I'm not sure though. It was so long ago.

Nice trax, however putting then all in a 10 min span defeats what I think is the purpose of the competition.

My tip only is to get doubles of certain trax and work the record rather than fitting in so many trax. That will really show your skill set.

Also mixing into breaks is not the best, a mix needs to have energy and flow to be good. A break is a lack of energy, so mixing into one is usually not the best way.

I like your music selection, and music is the key to being a great dj, keep it up

Just like everyone else is saying if you catch the drifting and tighten it up, it will sound amazing -- a tip one of my buddies gave me was to drop out the bass of the incoming track and switch them really quick on a downbeat, sounds really cool, and makes it seem a bit smoother if your tracks drift a bit.
