I met Peter and his brother once. He was quiet, intelligent and in-tune with his dreams. My wife is Peter's first cousin and Peter, his brother and my wife and I went to a bar to hang out. I went to buy a round for everyone and when Peter told me he doesn't drink, I jokingly said, "A cop that doesn't drink? You'll never make it as a cop!" I regret that stupid joke to this day. Pete was a great, centered man. Peter's death haunts my wife, Pam to this day. Peter, please Bless us from above!

5 years ago this Tuesday is the day that Pete paid the ultimate price. Seems like it was just last week. Peter's family is so remarkable for the awareness that they have brought to the law enforcement community by this tragedy.
