@SheisseFicken I've used all different colors for the rocket body and fins over the years to try to make it easier to spot and it just depends on how and where it lands. Good idea though.
WOW ! I have been looking for you to post some new stuff! It has been a while... We are going to have our next launch with our k450 rockets ( and a possible L800 test fire) in a couple weeks. I have your 1st book and eagerly await your next one! Make sure to post when you get it out. I have a few our of early rocket launches posted in my videos take a look and you will see where we have gone with a mix of your ideas and some "improvements of our own" (ok lets not call them improvements yet).
Great job as always, i will buy the book. A downward looking camera would be nice.
So what's next ? hybrid rocket engines with longer burn times ? multi stages ? 1000 pound thrust engines ? guidance systems ? low earth orbit ? or a rocket powered smart car.
Can't wait to review your book, build and fly your rocket design. So does Alberto cross from Mexico into the USA with all that rocket hardware? I love the obvious wine glass as his nose cone. Looks like he's trying to use the stem as a aerospike ala Trident II. Between your and Alberto's nose cone and his shirt I'll bet it makes for some interesting 'bottoms up' comments. Thanks!
Nice they look great! I cant wait till summer to get back to working on my rocket that i learned about from your book but what is this new book your talking about?
My new book is called "I Still Have All My Fingers" and it's a step by step guide to building the rocket in this video. Nosecone, engine, fins, parachute piston and apogee detector. It will be out next month (May 2011) Should be tasty ;-)
Awesome, great job on the 3 consecutive flights! I am still perfecting my rocket design, but I think I have a good solid state apogee detection and parachute ejection system. I managed to acquire about 1kg sorbitol (which is very hard to come by in the UK), so I should be able to make some better fuel for my next rocket.
long time no see! glad to see ur back at it! sometime in the near future ill be testing static motors. ill send you a link to a video of it when i do it! it might be quite some time though. dont worry bout my safety, im 26 and people call me safety jim(thats my name, jim) and they called me that even before i got interested in amateur rockets! so ill have all the bases covered! the only thing im worried about is if its legal to get kno3 in canada!
Have you ever consitered using a tie dye or rainbow flag color scheme for the chute? May make it easier to spot.

Any idea of the exact date that your new book will be able to purchase

Just depends on a few factors outside my control. Probably two to three weeks. I'll post a YouTube video when it's available. Thanks!

Are the fins made of plastic, carbon fiber, or fiberglass?
Ge0Sh0t 10 months ago
The fins are made from 1/4" HDPE plastic sheets.

I really think that you produce some of the highest quality videos on this site!
How much can we expect the new book to cost?
You should think about making a video that tells us kind of a summary of what is covered in the book.

Thanks very much! A promo video is in the works. Should be in May.
