What do you mean by " Sufi " ?
Do you mean, follower of Prophet Muhammad, his Companions and the Pious Predecessors? Do you mean that he is seeking to do "Tasfiyah" or Tazkiyah; purification of the soul? Do you mean he focuses on coming closer to Allah in the way taught by Allah's Messenger?

I did. Read his pdf book "God and Magog in the Modern Age", towards the end he attacks the sectarian divisions in Islam including Sufism which he calls "elitist sectarianism".
I quote:

@Dream,Sufis are Sunnis and Sunnis who are not Sufis are also Sunnis. Sufis are only people who have devoted their entire life to the spiritual dimensions of Islam.
Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal (rah) (164 - 241 AH.) said:
"O my son, you have to sit with the People of Sufism, because they are like a fountain of knowledge and they keep the Remembrance of Allah in their hearts. they are the ascetics and they have the most spiritual power." [Tanwir al-Qulub p. 405]

Example , Shaikh Abdul Qadar Jeelani who was among Allah's good slaves , but todays sufis are nothing but filthy grave worshippers and prevent people from the book of Allah and Sunnah, with few exceptions like SHaik Imran

I have spoken to the sheikh on many occasions and he has no affiliation or connection with any tariqas or does not label himself a sufi.
He was a part of a tariq but he broke off and he will confirm such actions.
The sheikh is only bringing back what the true meaning of IHSAN is, and it is to pray to ALLAH as if you see him and if not then KNOW that he sees you.
