i'm planning a trip down there from deep washington, about 9 hours of driving... is the river that big in / near Bend? how are you reaching the grass on the other side of the river with no back casting room?
@dirtTdude ---- I'm not sure how big the river is up near Bend. I actually caught all my fish a few feet from the bank. There was no need to cast across the river. They like to hug the bank, so just get an indicator and a few nymphs then roll cast it out --- keep an eye on the indicator!
@lostatseadotorg just got home from central oregon... i tried pretty hard from warmsprings up a few miles, couldn't find any access down stream from the boat launch at all and finely went up stream, past lk billy chinook way up in to mt bachelor, i drove miles and miles and miles and only caught one tiny little 4 inch fish., spent 90 bucks on a 3 day licence and indian permit, 400 on gas and 400 on hottels... could you help a guy out and give me some clues?
