  • Jackie Chan was so damn good looking in his days.

  • yeah why did they delete this scene it is awesome

  • lol at 0:52 its clear he did not actually fall.

  • I saw a deleted scene he trained to open a jar, slightlly visible on the last battle, anyone saw it?

  • I watched this movie yesterday....I want to see number 2, but it´s so hard to find.

  • @FabinhoVicious u mean the one where he gets brain damage from drinking industrial fluid?

  • Actually there's more to Chinese martial arts than fighting. It comprise also strategies, philosophy, health and fitness, meditation, psychology (yes in some system demands you should know how your opponents think), and others.

In other words what separates Chinese martial arts from the rest is that it is also a way of living. Its principles can be applied to everyday life.

  • @lazaga777 Well said!!!

  • I could almost swear this is from Dance of the Drunk Mantis...

  • Muito foda, adoro o estilo bebado gosto muito de praticar

  • back then jakie was cool and he kicked ass!

  • Jackie actually used 1:28 in the last fight vs Hwang Jang Lee lol

  • this movie dubbed in english is the best dub ever. voice actors were hilarious.

  • To Criss, Munna had it right when creating the illusion. The style is to imitate the movements of a drunk and fool your opponent. To do it while intoxicated is not very practical but also highly dangerous. To have that much coordination when your drunk is laughable. Besides, I practice Drunken boxing myself and I do not need alcohol to loosen my body. If your brain tells your limbs to loosen then they will.

  • @DrAchO2 Id like to learn drunken boxing as well its an art that i really admire :( But i cant complain since i do Karate :D

  • dont no how this wood fit in the movie no wonder they deleted it

  • Well, he is training and learning how to handle the alcohol. I could see how it would fit. I don't know why i thought it was in there. Guess I have to watch the movie again.

  • Jackie's dad in part 2 said it best-" While alcohol may make the body looser and toleranr of pain, many drunken boxers frequently become alcohlics.

  • 酔、跌、敬、撞、氣

  • 酔、跌、敬、撞、氣

    cool and funny.

  • i watched the original at the cinema when it came out, i hate that they have deleted so many scenes when they have come out on DVD ,,keep them original, no need to dub either , subtitles are fine..

  • Even though what your sayin is very true, the dub does somewhat add a very humerous view to the movie, my hong kong legends version of it is in dub, im not sure about whats all been deleted but im sure this scene was still there.

  • A lot of the Original film was either lost or deemed unusable. This movie was not stored correctly and suffered from age and fatigue.

The last version that came out on DVD had the english dubbed, because those sections of the film were not in usable condition with the Chinese dubbed language.

A lot of old Hong Kong movies were never stored properly and deteriorated, so there are going to be a lot of lost scenes that will never resurface, even Police Story had some scenes deteriorate.

  • So /that's/ why some of the parts have English and the rest in Chinese. That explains a whole lot. I just thought I had a bad copy of the film.

  • @ssjup81

yea but my Region 2 Hong Kong Legends dvd has the full chinese or dual language dubbed option

  • wtf? 1:20!

  • jakie chan get even drunk by thw way the music is good

  • Jackie all the way !

  • is he really drunk? does being drunk or acting drunk help you .. really? ... its amazing how he simply falls on his back.. that would hurt like hell

  • yea but if your drunk like really drunk you would not feel a think. because i know. i was wasted at a battle river in alberta with some people i know like family and cousins. one guy kept on giving me drinks like i have like lets say pepis right.

well this bottle was not half full and he pust in like half rum. after a few of those. i had to clue what the hell i was doing at all.

  • Thats the whole point, when your drunk you dont really feel much pain since your bodys is woozy and you use it just to swing around and build force at the end of the swing.etc

  • actually, well the wholepoint of drunken boxing is to create an illusion, so that ur opponent thinks you are drunk and lets his guard down, which is what Beggar So tells Wong Fei Hung in the film. So its not really getting pissed and then fighting, there would be lack of control in ones' movement.

  • Yes the ilusion is the main factor that makes the syle unpredictable but being some what drunk is important because it loosens the body,if the body is stiff you cant do all of those moves and while being drunk you feel less pain(im not saying dead drunk, since their masters they can controll themselfves in that stage.Cant use the drunken boxing if youre not a little drunk.

  • Awesome! How is he doing this falls 0:52 0:54 , Perfect!

  • ita cuted at 0:53 ;)

  • proper kung fu music*****

  • check out us vang sister and our songs and covers=) enjoy and if you like what you hear and see.. SUBSCRIBE

  • Jackie is just the best drunken boxer ever...

  • Why they deleted this scene this scene is so great

  • This is probably best scene of the whole movie - I wonder why did they left it out.

  • Jackie is nothing short of dazzling - just love the old alcoholic teacher - one of my perennial favs! Showtime Johnny Pal

  • drunken boxing is a real practiced form of kung fu. I got my butt kicked in a sparring match with one of my teachers, he used drunken boxing "sober" . He acted drunk and everything.

  • drunken boxing in this movie is real or just made for movie?

  • it's based off zui peh kwak, drunken monkey style and it's very altered for a more theatrical look as well as real drunken style users don't ACTUALLY drink alcohol but the stances are correct.

  • mh thx for explanation;D

  • Sweet!

  • when your drunk, you'll never knew what might happen to yourself. you might be a martial artist.

  • or everyone around you becomes a beauty queen

  • not bad

  • Drunken master yeahhhhh

  • Is This from the picture?

  • There are also several unofficial spin-off movies, such as Drunken Master 3 by Lau Kar Leung and Dance of the Drunken Mantis, but they are mostly rubbish, particularly DM3. The Drunken Mantis isn´t too bad, but the only reason what makes the film worth watching is Yen Siu Tien reprising his role as Beggar Su.

  • There is some nifty swordplay in Dance of the Drunk Mantis by the lady who plays his wife

  • There seems to be lot of confusion concerning this clip and DM movies. This is a deleted scene from the original Drunken Master (1979), and it is included as a DVD extra on HK legends version. Drunken Master 2 was made in 1994, and a restored and dubbed American re-release in 2000 retitled as the Legend of Drunken Master. I suggest you to skip the re-release and try to find the original 1994 Cantonese version, as it´s much better, uncut, with better soundtrack and all.

  • There are two movies, both feature Jacki Chan, but they are many many years apart.

"drunken master" and "the legend of drunken master."

this is the first, and older one... Drunken Master.

  • Respect for Siu Tien Yuen!!!!!

  • IDMWEIGHTSIDM man ur reatarted if it was in the movie why the fuck aint it in the movis fuk face -.-

  • It wasn't in the version of the movie i saw. I think.

  • this was the prequel, I'm asuming since he looks younger.

  • There isn't a prequel for Drunken Master, unless you're thinking of Legends of the Drunken Master?

  • I dunno there's 2 apparently but I've only seen 1 of them.

  • begger su is amazing!!!(his shifu)

jackie shure made it look swift

  • it was in the movie, no way they would delete god like this anyway.

  • not a deleted scene... different movie !!!!

  • thats a deleted scene? ;o lol didnt realise, my version had that part in it anyways

  • can someone send me this song? clearly? please!

  • his shifu is amazing too

  • i think that one old Sensei was cool... Jackie Chan was refered to him when he was actin for forbidden kingdom

  • you idio0t Sensei is japanese you ignorant fool

  • true that but if i had wrote "Sifu", not a lot of people would understand... think twice before u wrote somethin to me cuz not a lot of people knows asian language smart ass

  • This scence should have been in the movie 4 sho.

  • why was this scene deleted?

  • This scene isn't in this original film

  • i know that

i saw the movie 6 times(still love it)

1 but why wasn't this scene in the original movie?

2 where did you get it?

  • well [off topic] but there was a scene where his character went blind for drinking too much of something. other than that, I dont even know why this scene was cut

  • diff movie (legend of the drunken master)

  • i know. its just it doesnt look like the drunken master movie i saw. he had his hair short and his sensei wasnt in it O_O or atleast that one. oh well

  • Yes because that one was made after this one.

  • @leesiulong1982 yes you are correct but he asked "why"?

  • Holy Shit that rocks

  • The Drunken Master style reminds me of a monkey XD

  • that is some coooool ass shit

  • Will Dragon Dynasty release Drunken Master and it's spectacular sequel soon??

I hope so, I hate the english dub in those movies.

  • Hello I would want to Know what meaning have the characters that appear in the scene and what about the belly move that Jackie makes in the end is a internal work or Chikung Technique in the Tsui Pa Hsien Style?

  • The first character = Drunk

    2nd= to fall down

    3rd= to honor (to toast)

4th= I beiieve is to bump

    5th= qi (breath)

  • i thought the fith think was air

  • There are many translations depending on the context. In this context the best is breath, although air is not far off.

  • how you know all these things?

  • das mache ich auch jeden morgen

  • also nur trinken ?

  • lol @ some comments really...

  • Jackie Chan Is The Best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey what's the name of the song please? every

body tell me taht's "A man of determination" or "the general mandate" but all these two name are the songs used in Once Upon a time in China WITH JET LI!!! i wanted the name of thiss song!! please :-)

  • thats fucking awsome how fit he was ..

  • even now he is still fit to the bones!!

  • The Song is "General's Mandate". It's just a different performance of the same one used in "Once upon a time in China", and many other martial arts movies, theatrical productions and Chinese Opera. It sort of like the universal Kung Fu theme song.

  • cvnvc

  • jackie chan #1 :)

  • Jet li trained in wushu and several times proved to be one of the best, its not just for show geezer.. you wont see even real trained fighters at your local gym ending up in the movies will you? no because these guys have really trained and worked hard for it.

  • Jackie didn't train at a school for show fighting, he's been a legit martial arts student all his life, studying in several different forms and styles of kung fu. Check your facts before you display your ignorance in public.

  • @XArcAngelX The only fact here is that you are wrong. His father might have taught him some Kung Fu when he was very young, but most of his childhood years he spent in the Chinese Opera and that's 100% show "fighting".

  • @XArcAngelX @OLee82 Late Reply: Concerning the Chinese Opera. That's not just show fighting. Did you know that the artists of the Beijing Opera, were the Imperial Guards as well as personal body guards of the Chinese emperor/-ress? You see, westerners need to understand that the martial arts are part of a greater body of arts. A great amount of Phil. Arnis fighters are also members of traditional folklore ballet ensembles like the Bayanihan. Fighting and artistics are closely related in Asia.

  • @XArcAngelX UMMM so then u know that In 1960, around age 6 Jackie Chan was sent to the China Drama Academy, a Peking Opera School run by Master Yu Jim-Yuen were he trained rigorously for the next decade, excelling in martial arts and acrobatics, eventually becoming part of the Seven Little Fortunes, a performance group made up of the school's best students, gaining the stage name Yuen Lo in homage to his master. right? since u "check your facts before displaying ignorance in public" LOL comedy

  • so...what's the problem?

People who train Kung-Fu or any other Martial Art to actually FIGHT are stupid morons. Why would you want to train something just to fight?

It's about body-control and exact movement.

If you want to fight, you have to fight, not to train an "art", idiot.

Martial art is not about real fighting but about FIGHTING.

And Jackie Chan is extremely skilled, look at this, this is pure genious. He trained many years to do it.

  • @lynth fighting is an art all on its own. why do people train sports? to be the best that they can be and perform at the top of there ability at it. training is the only way to truly be good at something. in sports you cant just go out and be the best just like that. you have to train and get the determination it takes to be the best.

  • @lynth

    I agree.

i train Tving Tsun for health and self defence.

But you have to admit , Martial arts can kick ass and look nice.

thats whats so great about it

  • how the hell could they delete this amazing scene, its better than the one they put in

  • Fantastic!

  • That song is the Wong Fe Hong Theme.

  • say that to Bruce Lee or Jackie

  • say tat to Jet li

  • drunken style is very difficult to find any where in the world.you drink for a half an hour straight, whiskey, wine, vodka, beer or rum.then your attack is based on odd angles, unorthodox footwork.

  • the name of the song is the general mandate

  • Hey what's the name of the song please?

  • a man of determination

  • i think that this scene is not deleted in the german version! i like that music...

  • in germany had many movie deleded scenes of kung

    fu movies

  • why was this deleted, the movie makes more sense with this...

  • I have some of his movies from his younger days. I think this may be one of them, which is making me wonder why this was a deleted scene if at all.

  • jackie chan is very good actor, it is very difficult to act in this style

  • where can i get the soundtrack??????

Please send a message if u know. It songs like wongfeihung but I can't find this one.

  • the old man is the best!!

  • Yes you're right, there are 5 known origin's of Drunken Fist, the most common is The Legend of the 8 Drunk Immortals who were from the Taoist sect of Chinese mythology during the Sung Dynasty(960A.D.-1280

The last comment I did here was wrong!

  • A lot of blinded people believe that Jackie Chan invented Drunken Fist, when the FACT is,it dates back to the early Ching Dynasties, also that a monk from Shaolin who was a Drunk, practised it there! The 8 Drunk Gods is a long lost form og Kung Fu!Wake Up!!!

  • There's no real definite story, only 5 different ones which involve people getting drunk.

  • AWESOME,I've never seen that scene,so perfect!!!!that deserves 10 stars!!!

  • i luv that
