  • what effects do u use for this song (castellorizon)?

  • i love dave and think you did an outstanding rendition always play with your heart i can tell that you feel it.......ebb and flow let it flow!

  • @frippstar47 um...i think it's "let it grow."

  • Is that classic player 50s strat?

  • Igonore my comment about classic player, I just read another comment saying that its an american standard.

  • "get your own fame and leave david's alone" Who in the hell are you and what does "david's fame" or any bullshit like that have anything to do with a guy enjoying playing some music on youtube? What an ignorant thing to say.

  • How about you leave the guy alone and let him enjoy playing his guitar?

    For fuck sake.

  • awsome job dude

  • Awesome !!!!

  • what effect are u using?

  • Very nice, good sound! I have seen all your videos from Gilmour's solos, it's a great job !! Congratulations !

  • Very nice! But you gotta work on the vibrato some more. Slower with your fingers and not so rough with the tremolo. AWESOME sound man!! Rock on ;)

  • yeah man just trying to learn this song right now

  • F***in' awesome cover. One of the bests...

    Well done!

  • tone spot on and very close to gilmour himself " playing the guitar wise" :)

  • VERY NICE COVERS!

but i think u missed some parts on Castellorizon.

everything else top! nice strat btw |: P sounds good.

  • does anyone know the real castellorizon tabs? I want to learn it.

  • I posted the tabs on for all to download. Check out my version of this song and the link is in the info Box.

  • bon son bon jeu super

  • nice.....kudos...it's hard to cover the master of time and space.

  • great job !! killed the vibratos with the tremolo :)

  • cool job. careful with that axe, eugene!

  • Bravo!!

  • Muy buena interpretación, felicidades

  • everyday it s good to listen to you Great cover

  • Great man!!!!

  • I love it! Great tone and way to make the song really yours! Gilmour would be proud!

  • Great playing man!

Do you know the background chords? I'm stuck after Am, Em...

  • Em, Am, Cmaj7, Hm (Bm).

  • I think he means for Castellorizon. If so, its Am, Em/G, F#7b9, Em.

  • great cover..

  • great job!! congratulations

  • Man that was sooo flippin sexy!! nice tone dude... where u get da back track 4rom??

  • The link to your pedal board does not work. Could you please provide a better link to it, or at least just write what you are using for this song.

  • incredible man! ;D

  • Nice...is that a backing track your using?

if so where did you find it?

  • nice sound

  • what a sick cover

    that was great

  • awesome

    try pickup changes tho,

    but still well good!

  • very very good - keep up the good work

  • You're really good, very nice Gilmour touch. What effects do you have there?

  • i def hear a usa big muff and delay...but the rest idk

  • Are those stock pickups.

  • Very well done, man! But just like ObiMan said...Pickup changes. Start with the neck, then at 1:15, kick it into the bridge, do some pinch harmonics. then at 1:26, kick back into neck for the finale. Thats exactly how david does it. I'm going to post a vid of myself doing this solo soon, though yours is going to be quite hard to top!

  • Just Beautiful, you are truly an artiest.

  • Very nice. I also love to play this. A bit different, but with heart. :-)

  • Great stuff!

    From Norway

  • Impressionnant ... Le sound and the Game is Perfect ... Thank You

  • that was perfect!! a really great performance!

can you plz tell me where to find the tabs for that song?

a tip: try some pickup changes on castellorizon...

  • now i get it: you play a standart strat with 57 pickups. thanks for you nice vid, now i know, that the 57's is the right one for me. i was never sure if i can get this bright sound. most of the 57's player have a boomy sound in their playing.

  • nice guitars & nice playing! =)

looks like a classic 50s or a 57s. and you got a red 57's with this active pickups :D

im going to buy a new guitar and im not sure if i buy a 50s classic or a 57s. i already played a 57s, but never a 50s classic. which one would you advise me to buy?

  • WOW Great tone!!!!!!! The link to your pedal set up doesn't work though which is unfortunate.

    KraigY

  • hey, that was gr8 - i use slightly more drive on the castellorizon solo, but ures sounds just as good if not better. one thing is i have been searching for the castellorizon backing track for a while but cant find it, could you show me? cheers! wb

  • gilmourish . com

  • awesome.. awesome.. the best I've ever heard anyone play ANYTHING of Gilmour's...

  • thank you!!

  • i agree, try not to improvise on Gilmour solos, He pretty much perfected the the art of bends. Anything improvisational makes it sound bad. Great sound though.

  • I think it's good for the most point, but a few things. One thing about the On an Island solo that makes it so amazing is the smoothness of when he bends. When you pick too much on the bends, it gives it a sharp sound. Also, Gilmour puts the fast stuff in the perfect spots, and your frilly improvisations kind of put it out of balance. But other than that, it was pretty awesome.

  • WOW...That's the sound every floyd fan has spent there whole lives searching for. Well done.

I think I'll join hafstrat with the darts thing.

  • 'in awesome mate!!!!! Think I'll go smash up my gear and take up darts instead.... what gear u got thre dude?

  • my pedal board is on my channel, click on "website URL". the amp is hiwatt custom 50.

  • Good sir, what effects are you using? if you don't mind my asking.

  • My ears went crazy around 1:43 or so when you overbent the note. Other than that, great tone and phrasing.

  • it's exactly the same tone!!!

  • svaka čast!!!

  • o sorry, I am from United States. DEAD ON means, its a perfect replication of david gilmours tone. You sound just like him!

  • ah ok....thanks :-)

  • i actually laughed at this video, because your tone is so dead on. You would make a stealing in a pink floyd cover band

  • excuse but what do you mean for "your tone is so dead on"?

  • must be a cultural/language thing. if something is dead on it means that it's almost or exactly the same as something else. your tone is near the same (dead on) as gilmour's.

  • Sup man, decent attempts. A good bit of parts were off but hey, these are two damn hard solos. If you dont do it near perfect it just doesnt sound right (those damn double bends!). I'd like to hear you play the 1st solo from On An Island in the near future. Check out the one I have up. Peace.
