That is a great question. Safe Harbor has been promoting their program for a few years now, and the most common response from retailers is, "I have not heard anything from my customers asking for anything like this." If this is important to you, please ask for it.

If this technology exists, how come grocery stores don't test the mercury levels in their seafood?

because seafod is expensive already so they will be selling less if people becomes aware , the cost will be more expensive so in other words , they will be making less money .

I actually looked into the costs for this program and its very inexpensive. Haagens markets in Seattle currently use this brand and said they are selling more fish, and are making more money.
