  • Yes, she does train her horses, as does her husband. Stacy was the first person to ride Roxy. I would like to say that not anyone can ride freestyle like Stacy does. Wow, I would like to put on a costume and ride like her... is that all I have to do? You make it sound so easy... I think I will go out and do it right now !!!

  • Soooo great - really amazing!!! Would love to see her live...

  • Plus 1 1/2 spins! And to the thing about being a trainer- she doesn't train her horses. Her husband does. The only thing she does is have a connection with certain horses. Not everyone can do that. To those who don't know reining- this isn't reining. This is freestyle. Anyone can do freestyle. All they do is be showy with costumes. Look up Tim mc Quay or Tom Mc Cutchen if you want real reining.

  • Got chills the first time I watched this! Absolutely amazing!

  • "Shannon, Shannon, Dont talk to me" Haha, That really made me laugh. :D

  • you know I re-read what I said and asked for a better head set not a natural head set. My response stands. Ask an AQHA horseman why he likes his head at or below the withers and he probably will explain about roundness, collection carriage, ribcage and impulsion. Just like when Tim Tebow came into the NFL and they taught him to move the football differently from snap to throwing it. end of story. Stacy is fantastic don't let this distract from her acomplishments!

  • I don't know why I'm responding to the "natural headset" comment. But why do we ride horses then if we are about natural. People that came before us have learned the best way to get the best performance. Be it Ballet, The way a NFL Quarterback moves the ball from center to throwing position, or in this case the movement of a Quarter horse. There is not always 'good' in natural. There may be but not always....... Heck, most horses don't really even know how to back up or even sideways!

  • One more thing. I sure hope you are signed up with youtube for ads. If this gets anywhere near hits her other ride got you could be looking at a few bucks here.....

  • Really cool. I want to say something bad but I really can't. The only thing is given the novelty of bridle-less riding, I'd like to see a better head set. And the sliding stops really sucked. But this is really a novelty and Stacy has done well to Capitalize off the popularity. Awesome job.

  • @spudth , how COULD she show a natural "head-set"! The nerve! A horse carrying his head the way HE wants to?? Heresy!

  • Amazing! Stacy Westfall is just wonderful and an amazing trainer. She has a wonderful gift. I hope to be even a 1/8th of the trainer she is with my horses.

  • of all the videos, yours was the first one that didnt pause every other second and wasnt from the wrong end of the arena! Great job.
